Covid 19 Tournament Update PLEASE READ!!
Participants and parents For the safety of all participants, spectators and staff and out of the abundance of caution and adherence to CDC guidelines we are asking for everyone’s help and cooperation in following these guidelines that have been outlined in our Return to Play procedures and approved by the Seminole County Leisure Services Department. Seminole County Mandate Follow Seminole County executed Executive Order 2020-030, requiring the use of facial coverings in Seminole County facilities/offices. -Failure to comply by either parent or player may result in player being removed from the tournament.
USTA Return to Play Procedures: ? Limit spectators to a minimum. ? Update TennisLink contact information in the event contact tracing becomes necessary. ? Use headbands, hats, towels or wristbands to avoid touching their faces during play. ? Wash hands often (before/after matches). ? Arrive at the facility close to assigned start time, ready to play, and depart immediately. ? Bring your own water bottles, coolers, ice, towel, or any other personal equipment, including hand sanitizer, and store them inside their tennis bag when not in use. ? Bring your own chairs and avoid sharing a bench with a teammate and/or opponent. ? Clearly verbalize score at the start of each point, have a note pad to write scores down in between games and use technology to report scores (email or text). ? Maintain safe social distance between players during the racquet spin at the start of a match. ? Maintain physical distancing if changing ends of the court. ? Offer an acknowledgment such as a nod, a thumbs up or a “good match” instead of shaking hands.
