Format and Scoring
Line Ups * Singles team lineups are determined by the Section. * Doubles team lineups are determined by the coaches, but the order is expected to follow the Singles lineup. * The #1 boy and girl in Singles must play #1 Doubles.
Scoring * All singles will be best of three tie-break sets. Doubles will be 6 game sets (set tie-break at 5 games all).
Teams * Teams will be divided into two flights, but will not be seeded.
Schedule and Team Scoring * Days 1-3: The Round Robin team format will be used for the first three rounds, consisting of four doubles matches, two mixed doubles matches and 12 singles matches. * Mixed doubles matches count towards the team score, but results do not count for national rankings. * Day 4: The Round Robin format will consist of six doubles matches (no Mixed), 12 singles matches, * Day 5: The first place teams in each flight will play off for first and second place using the same format as Day 4 (no Mixed) * Each singles and doubles match counts for one point. * The team that wins the most points (maximum of 18) is the winner of the Team Match. * Ties (9-9) will be determined by a mixed doubles super tie-break.
Flight Winners * The team in each flight with the most Team points after the fourth day will be declared the winner of that flight. * The team with the second most points in its flight is the second place team, etc. * A specific process will be used to determine winners in the event of a tie. * Day 5: The first place teams in each flight will play off for first and second place using the same format as Day 4 (no mixed doubles). Note that we will have a "True Playoff" this year, the final play off matches will be a true playoff. Meaning the 1st place team from both flights will play each other, the 2nd place team from both flights will play each other (and so on...), regardless of if they are teams from the same Section.
