USTA Midwest Level 2 Open Championships

7/22 12:41 PM--- 12:30 matches were played INDOORS and 2:00 matches will also be INDOORS at Five Star Tennis Center. We will update again prior to 3:30 matches.
7/22 9:12 AM--- 9:30 and 11:00 am matches will be INDOORS at Five Star Tennis Center. Court conditions are still poor but we may be able to go out this afternoon so as always keep checking e-mail for updates.

7/22 7:10 AM---- First round of doubles today are INDOORS at Five Star Tennis Center. It is raining at Plainfield East High School and courts are wet. We will continue to update when a decision has been made about singles matches so stay posted.


7/21 10:17 AM---- All matches (doubles and singles) will play INDOORS at Five Star Tennis Center on Saturday due to rain, court conditions, and the threat of rain. Though there may be very minor delays, all players are expected to report prior to their match times listed on the draw.


7/21 9:07 AM--9:30 singles matches will play INDOORS at Five Star Tennis Center. We are yet to make a decision on later matches so keep checking e-mail!

This tournament will use a combination of USTA/Midwest Points Per Round and Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) for player selection and seeding. Players will be selected for the tournament in the following order:
1 -44 Players based on the most recent USTA/Midwest Standings List in the age division of the tournament
2 -20 Players based on UTR
Players will be seeded for the tournament in the following order:
1 - Top 8 seeds based on UTR
2- Seeds 9-16 based on USTA/Midwest Standings List

This tournament carries with it Level 2 USTA/Midwest points per round and Level 4 USTA National Singles points and Level 3 USTA National Doubles points per round. For more information on USTA/Midwest points per round, please visit the following link: more info

Singles is a MFIC (64 draw)and will play best 3 tiebreak sets with a 10 point super tie-breaker in lieu of a third set. Doubles Draw is a SE( 32 draw) and will play 8-game pro sets with a tiebreak at 8 all.

TOURNAMENT HOTEL: Hampton Inn I-55, 10 minutes from the tournament site. When booking please CALL the hotel and mention that you are with the Midwest Level 2 group to receive 10% off of your booking: (815) 439-9500. You have 48 hours to cancel your room at no charge.

If you do not provide an email address and/or cell number(s) when you register for this tournament, then we will not be able to notify you about any possible changes in the tournament.
