USTA Category I Tournament (No ITF Grade)
This tournament will receive USTA Category I
ranking points per round won. This
tournament DOES NOT earn any ITF ranking points. In order to receive USTA ranking points for

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL TOURNAMENT PARTICIPANTS
We will have roving umpires and we will
chair the final matches. Please be mindful of the following rules and regulations.
1. Check-in at the
tournament desk at least 15 minutes prior to your match. When you check-in,
you should be ready to play. Please stay close to the tournament desk after
checking in.
2. The USTA lateness
rule will be in effect. Lateness, including not being ready to play will be penalized
under the USTA regulations. Try to be ready to play at least 15 minutes prior
to each match.
3. If you need
assistance when on-court, look for a roving USTA umpire
4. 5-minute
timed warm-up offered for each match, unless advised otherwise. Practice courts
will be available.
5. USTA rules
including Point Penalty System, Foot Faults, Continuous Play, etc. are in
effect.
6. Cell phones
should not be used and stored out of sight. Smart watches should not be worn unless
needed for medical reasons*
7. Players are
asked to use the bathroom before their match & take a bathroom break at set
breaks
8. Remember, you
have 20 seconds between points,90 seconds on changeovers and 120 seconds on set
breaks.
9. When you get the
match balls and your court assignment, please go directly to your court.
10. Good
Sportsmanship and Fair Play principles are expected from every player. Contact the tournament referee if you have any questions. Good luck and we hope that you enjoy the tournament.

Father – Daughter “OPEN” Doubles Match Formats:
Main Draw and 3rd/4th
playoff matches: Best of 3
tiebreak sets. New balls provided for the 3rd set. A two-minute set break
between 1st and 2nd set. A two-minute set break between 2nd
and 3rd set, however, a ten-minute rest period will be provided at
the option of any team.
First Match Consolation format: Two tiebreak
sets with a 10-point match tiebreak played at one set all. A two-minute set break
between each set. No new balls for the match tiebreak.
Tiebreaks: The “Open” division matches will use a traditional 7-Point set and 10-point tiebreak. Players switch ends after every 6 points.
A voluntary Last Chance
Consolation match opportunity will be provided for players that are
looking to play a 3rd match. These matches will not receive ranking
points. Same match format as used for First Match Consolation matches. Sign
up at the tournament desk.

Mother – Son “OPEN” Doubles Match Formats:
Two groups of 3 teams
(Group A & B) have been drawn for Round Robin play. The first, second and
third place finishers from each round robin group will play on Sunday for Gold/Silver, Bronze/4th Place and 5th/6th
Place.
The match format for
all matches will be : Best of 3
tiebreak sets. New balls provided for 3rd set. A two-minute set
break between 1st and 2nd set. A two-minute set break
between 2nd and 3rd set, however, a ten-minute rest
period given at the option of any team, at one set all.
Tiebreaks: The “Open” division matches will use a traditional

all teams with 4 matches.

WELCOME PLAYERS TO THE 2019 USTA FAMILY CLAY COURT CHAMPIONSHIPS
FEATURING THE FATHER DAUGHTER AND MOTHER SON EVENTS!!!
Play will begin on FRIDAY and players are encouraged to check their
start times online.
REGISTRATION will begin at 10:00 am on Friday and a limited number
of practice/warm-up courts are available throughout the day. At
your request,we have reserved numerous courts for warm up and some
friendly "practice sets" after 3:00 pm for all players. Please
remember that we have added a complimentary welcome dinner for all
players on Friday evening and we would ask that you RSVP via Chuck
by email at cgill@ibisgolf.com that you are attending dinner on
Friday. Please do so before end of day Thursday. It is being held
beside the tennis courts and dress is casual (tennis attire is
fine!)
_The USTA Father Daughter/ Mother Son clay court championships at
Ibis is proud to announce that Welch Tennis Courts will be the 2019
presenting sponsor! This year along with the great weekend of
tennis, we will be hosting a welcome BBQ Friday night, lunch for
all players on Saturday, and celebration dinner on Saturday night.
We are looking forward to another great event!
The Division breakdown is as follows:
Father-Daughter Open - no age limit for the father
Father Daughter SR - Father has to 60 or over
Father Daughter Super SR - Father has to be 70 or over
Father 80 and Over - The Father has to be 80 or over
*A father will qualify for division if they are turning the age
requirement in the same calendar year as the tournament
Mother-Son Open - No age requirement for the mother
Mother-Son SR - Mother has to be 60 or over
*A mother will qualify for division if they are turning the age
requirement in the same calendar year as the tournament
