Important Parking Notes- Especially Saturday Aug. 6
Parking and Check in Procedures- (Note afternoon parking specifications on Saturday.)
Parking all weekend, Saturday and Sunday specifics- Avoid C spots! There is no fee to park in B or F spots. (B is right next to the courts, F is the Leavy Center Basketball stadium parking lot.)
Saturday parking after 4:30pm
If you plan to be at SCU past 4:30pm please note that due to San Jose Earthquakes soccer there are additional parking restrictions. You can only park either on El Camino or in a B spot. If you are parking in an F spot before 4:30 and stay there past 4:30 you are subject to towing. F is strictly off limits after 4:30pm even if you have been there all day.
To view B and F spots, click the interactive parking map at the attached link.
You will see B is located right next to the courts and across the road from there. We will not accommodate late arrivals due to parking issues. You should arrive at least 20 minutes early to accomodate for the distance from parking to the courts. You are late if you are not checked in by the time your match is scheduled, you are defaulted 15 minutes after... checked in means you have gone to the bathroom, put on your gear etc... IN ADDITION, THE SPOTS THAT SAY 24 HOUR ENFORCED "C" SPOTS MEAN JUST THAT. ANY DAY OF THE WEEK INCLUDING WEEKENDS YOU WILL RECEIVE A TICKET IN THOSE SPOTS. OTHER PLAYERS HAVE IGNORED THIS WARNING, SO DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. AS ALWAYS, THE TOURNAMENT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR PARKING VIOLATIONS, THESE VIOLATIONS MAY BE UP TO $50. DON'T TEMPT THE SCU PARKING PATROL! PARKING TICKETS ARE A BIG BUSINESS AT SCU! Saturday and Sunday parking- other than C spots, all are open.
Sunday is a normal parking day minus the 24/7 C Spot restrictions.

WITHDRAWALS AND TOURNAMENT COMMUNICATION
With draw posting, while withdrawals are an unfortunate fact of tournament life, refunds are not granted once draws are up. If you must withdraw, please do so as far in advance as possible to save your opponent the risk of traveling to the site. Email jscalese@scu.edu with withdrawal information prior to the tournament. To contact the director, email ONLY at jscalese@scu.edu. A tournament # will be posted later in the week.

Checking in for your match
Please try to check in for your match 20 minutes early. Junior tournaments are very unpredictable, as many quick matches as we will have, we will have long ones too. Not having younger age groups usually keeps our tournament moving quickly. Players should check in for their matches, not parents! We believe firmly that a big part of tournament play is the junior player learning how to check in, report scores etc... Once players check in, they should sit on the bleachers near the tournament desk so they can hear if they are called. When you are called for your match, you should have been to the bathroom, gripped your rackets, tied your shoes etc...!

T-shirts
As most players registered online, we have t-shirt orders for you. That is the size you will get upon checking in. If the size does not work for you, we will ask you to check back later on Sunday as we need to be sure we have the right sizes for each person that ordered one. Those signing up as late entries do not have a size reserved, but we do have enough shirts for everyone and will do our best to get you the right size.

Draw and match format
2 of 3 sets, with a 10 pt. match tie break for the 3rd set. Regular ad scoring. There is no consolation except for a 3rd place match after losing the semifinals.

Tennis Center. Come play at one of the best college facilities in
the country. Tournament will include a commemorative t-shirt.
Consolation possibilities will be reviewed entries pending.
Enter your t-shirt size and contact information. Tennis Link has a
great new feature that allows you to tell us what size t-shirt you
like, anyone doing this will have that size "guaranteed." If that
size does not work for you when you are at the tournament you may
exchange your shirt if we have more available at the END of the
tournament. Please be sure to enter your email, or your parent's
email when registering as we will send email updates prior to the
start of the tournament. Please enter the phone # where we can best
reach you on the day of your matches. I.E. Cell phone.
Be prepared to play both weekends- Some evening matches for older
divisions. We will get as much done the first weekend as possible.
While we will do everything in our power to complete this
tournament the first weekend, draw sizes do not always allow that.
We will play at much tennis as possible on the first weekend, but
carry over to the 2nd if need be. Players need to understand that
playing the 2nd weekend is a strong possibility especially in the
boys divisions. However, we will complete as many divisions as
possible in the first weekend. Tournament will be single
elimination with a 3rd/4th playoff in each division. The largest
draws will start each day earlier in the morning, there may be some
evening play (matches starting as late as 7pm, we will try to make
this older players if need be.
SCHEDULE AVOIDANCE While we recognize you may have some schedule
conflicts, understand the size of our tournament and facility do
not allow us to accommodate them all, if any. Feel free to send us
avoidance requests BEFORE ENTRIES CLOSE if we cannot accommodate
them, we will tell you, at which point if you stay in the draw you
do at your own peril. Schedule requests will not be accommodated
under any circumstances after entries close. Directions to SCU's

Tournament Director Selection Process- What does this mean to me?
Frankly, very little for the players. We use this process because
it makes it easier to not have to refund money should a draw not be
big enough to hold or if we get a withdrawal right after entries
close. You will receive confirmation when you register that your
credit card has been charged $0, this is because you are not
charged until entries close and we process your entries. Do not be
alarmed, we have yet to have to keep anyone out of a tournament
because draws are too big! Again, this is basically just an
administrative tool. Once we process entries, you will receive an
automated email from Tennis Link. It will say the following... 1.
You were selected and charged. 2. You were selected but there was a
problem charging you. This usually is an expired card issue. Email
jscalese@scu.edu asap to arrange payment by check. 3. You were not
selected- The only players that were not selected into the draw are
players who registered for events without significant entries.
Player Selection TypePlayers are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry TypeEntry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Wednesday, July 27, 2011 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
