Please have a trusted individual register for you if you have a possibility of being late for your check in. YOU MAY NOT GET INTO THE DOUBLES DRAW IF NOT REGISTERED ON TIME.
(KALAMAZOO HAS A MANDATORY CHECK- IN STATING: "A manadatory check-in will be held on Friday, June 26th... ALL PLAYERS MUST CHECK-IN ON FRIDAY, JUNE 26TH... There are no exceptions given for not checking in. If a player does not check in on Friday, it will be assumed they are not coming and an onsite alternate will be inputed. Please provide ample time to drive so you do not miss the check-in.)

Doubles!!
Doubles must be entered or confirmed ON SITE AT REGISTRATION to be guarenteed a spot in the double draw. Both players of a doubles team must be registered on Friday before 4 pm to be sure that you are included in the doubles draw. The email that all doubles players received stating that you were not accepted into the doubles draw is an automatic email in a "tournament directors selection" tournament and you must reregister at the check in on Friday. All playeres in the singles draw WHO REGISTERWITH ANOTHER PLAYER IN THE SINGLES DRAW, WILL be selected to play doubles with another quota player. Altenates not in the singles draw paired with a quota player or two alternates are NOT GUARENTEED a spot in doubles if a 64 team limit is reached in the age division they enter. You MAY NOT ask to enter either age divison if not accepted into your first choice of Doubles division.
ALL DOUBLES ENTRIES MUST APPEAR ON THE SINGLES ENDORSEMENT LIST FROM YOUR DISTRICT. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH A PARTNER WHO IS NOT ENDORSED TO PLAY IN THE SINGLE DRAW AS AN ALTERNATE. YOUR ENTRY WILL BE DISREGARDED.

Players in the Draws!
OPEN THE REPORTS "Players By Event" ABOVE. If you are on these lists, you have been selected to play in the Midwest Closed and you are expected to register or have a trusted individual register for you at the tournament on Friday at the Barbara S Wynne Tennis Center on the North Central High School Campus. **************( BG16s from 12:30 -2:30 pm) and***********( BG18s from 12:30-4:00 pm). Registration ends at 4:00pm to begin work on the doubles draws. Doubles draws are planned to be completed before midnight after the check in on Friday, so we are ready to give out schedule info on Saturday morning by 8:00 am. We also may try to get a few hours sleep before staff breifing at 6am. Play begins on Saturdayat 8 am at 6 sites in the Indianapolis area.

ALTERNATES NOT IN THE DRAWS.
OPEN THE REPORTS "Alternates by Event" ABOVE, IF YOU ARE NOT ON THE "Players By Event" reports FOR THE TOURNAMENT. The top 10 on the alternates list are considered "Standby Alternates" and will be called OR INSERTED INTO THE DRAW IF ON-SITE if a spot becomes available due to a withdrawl for inury, illness or personal emergencyof a player in the original draw. *************************************************************************************Alternates below # 10 have a "near zero" chance of playing in the singles tournament and it is recommended that you do not go to the expense of traveling to Indy!*************************************************************************************
However, any alternate MAY come to Indy on Friday to register and to act as an "ON-SITE ALTERNATE" Alternates are not guarenteed a spot in any draw.

Alternates
Alternates that have been selected to play should register on Friday (12:30 pm-2:30 pm for BG16s) and (12:30-4:00pm for BG18s). Registration will include emergency info, doubles entry information and seeding info or confirmation of doubles entry - DOUBLES DEADLINE - 4pm - NO EXEPTIONS hotel or housing/hotel info and contact AND EMERGENCY #s while in Indy.

PLAYER REGISTRATION
ALL PLAYERS MUST REGISTER ON FRIDAY JUNE 26, 2009 AT THE BARBARA S WYNNE TENNIS CENTER AT NORTH CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL. ***BOY'S AND GIRLS 16s 12:30-2:30 P.M. ALL alternates from ALL districts will be compared, and a new llist will be generated by the Midwest Office to determine which alternates will be included in the draws and which will not be included. Seeding and Selection will be based on the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing PPR List in the age division of the event.

Doubles Seeding and Selection:
Doubles Seeding and Selection Criteria: All players must appear on their District Endorsement list in order to be considered to the event.The draw size will be limited to the top 64 teams.
Seeding for All Doubles Events: Players will be seeded based on the most current USTA/Midwest Section Singles Standing List in the division of the event.
Doubles Seeding and Selection:
The following method will be used for Seeding:
• Highest sum of each players’ USTA/Midwest Section Doubles Standing List Position.
• Highest sum of each player’s USTA/Midwest Section Singles Standing List Position.
Selection Process: Teams will be accepted into the main doubles draw in the following order:
1. Teams that are made up of players accepted in the same age division as the main singles draw
2. Teams that are made up of one player accepted in the main singles draw and their partner is an alternate to the same age division as the main singles draw.
3. Teams that are made up of players that are alternates to the same age division as the main singles draw.
4. In the event of a tie, teams will be selected by the highest sum of each players’ USTA/Midwest Section Doubles Standing List Position.
5. Any player selected for singles in any age division.
***All players who play in DOUBLES events, MUST BE included on their DISTRICT ENDORSER'S SINGLES LISTS (QUOTA OR ALTENATE) and MUST CHECK IN on FRIDAY at registration.

Level of Tournament:
This event will be a USTA National Level 3 and a Midwest Level 1 for Points per Round Ranking.

Dress Code:
All Players must wear appropriate tennis attire! No shirts or hats with references to drugs or tobacco products or sexual or bodily funtions. No cut off or torn sleeves and/or shorts are allowed.Rolled down waistbands are not allowed. The bottom of the shirt or top must meet the top of the short or skirt with arms at rest throughout the entire match. Girls - No spaghetti strap tops or tube tops. Boys - No tank tops.
