Courts are being dried. ALL 8:00 AM MATCHES SHOULD ARRIVE AT 12:30 PM AT MILLBROOK EXCHANGE TENNIS CENTER. ALL LATER MATCHES SHOULD ARRIVE AT 1:30 PM.

Main draw 8am matches will play at NC State indoor courts. Main draw 10am matches should report at the indoor courts at 11am: J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center Directions From the East: Take I-40 to the Gorman Street exit. Turn right onto Gorman. Take right onto Sullivan Drive. The J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center is on the left, across from the baseball field. From the West: Take I-40 to the Wade Avenue exit. Turn right onto Faircloth Rd. Take a left onto Sullivan Drive. The J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center is on your left, across from the baseball field. IMPORTANT PARKING INSTRUCTIONS: NC State is in session and all parking is assigned. The only place to park is the parking deck on Dan Allen Rd. All other parking will be ticketed. Backdraw players are delayed until 12 noon and should check the website for an update at 11am.

The courts are wet and there is an on and off light drizzle. Matches will be delayed until 10am. Check for an update at 9am.

Should report to the correct site for your age division 30 minutes before the start of play and must be present for all starting match times. If there is more than one on-site alternate, and there is an opening, we will go by the Ordered Alternate List to make the selection

USTA SOUTHERN SEEDING CRITERIA USTA Southern Level 1, 2 and 3 Tournaments SINGLES SEEDING CRITERIA Seeding shall be done using only the results from most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of the division in the order in which players appear on the list. Definition of Most Recently Published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists: • Southern Closed Championships (June) Published List on Monday prior to tournament start • Southern Championships (other than June) Published List at least 8 days prior to tournament start • Southern Designated Published List at least 8 days prior to tournament start • Southern Level 3 Published List used for Selections tournament start In addition to the list, other criteria to consider: • Players who have a standing in the next younger age division may be seeded in any group of seeds if they are in the top 10 of the most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of any younger age division. • Players with current top 50 USTA National standing, top 100 ITF ranking, top 1000 ATP or WTA rankings should be considered for seeding.

All players must have a Birth Certificate on file in the Southern office for proof of US Citizenship. Green cards will be accepted. Passports are not accepted. A report of those with proof on file is posted at the USTA website. To verify you are on the list, click here more info

ALL PLAYERS must bring a signed USTA Medical Release form to registration or they will be unable to participate in the event. Click here for the form more info

Sept 20 or before: Withdraw online. Sept 21 or later: You must email your withdrawal to David Bell, david.bell@ci.raleigh.nc.us. Do not call to withdraw. Withdrawal after Sept 26 11:59pm - No refund. You must email to david.bell@ci.raleigh.nc.us. Defaulting during the tournament - You must see the trainer and get approval from the Head Referee. Do not tell anyone at the desk and think you have properly defaulted, unless you speak to the Head Referee, it will be counted as a "NO SHOW".

The 12's and 14's divisions will be held in Cary. Here is that tournament website more info

Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: #1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to either divisions would remain on the alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in, from the alt. list. They would be removed from the Alternate list in the other division. #3. Players selected to one age division woud be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

Even though the 12's and 14's and being held in Cary under a different tournament code this weekend, it is still part of this tournament. So, you may enter the 14's and 16's without penalty.

Do not enter two tournaments at the same time. How to avoid Penalties: If you end up on the alternate list, you must with-draw from the alternate list first and then enter the 2nd event. Tournaments have different deadlines that will allow you time to make your changes.

Top 64 players applying from the USTA/Southern latest STANDINGS LIST. 56 players from this age group will be selected and up to 8 players from the younger age group who are eligible from the younger age group, who have a standing in the top 80 of the younger age group, and are not in the selected 56, will be selected. The names of the player who have been selected will appear as COMPETITORS. Alternates are listed in the REPORT SECTION. DO NOT REFER TO THE ALTERNATES ON THE FAR LEFT SIDE OF THE WEB PAGE (That list is not updated).

Draws will be 64 players with a Full Feed In through the Quarters and 3rd/4th playoff. Main Draw will play the best two out of three tie-break sets. Feed-in will be the best of three sets playing a 10 point match tie break in lieu of third set. Main Draw will play two rounds each day.The Consolation draws will play one match on Saturday, three matches on Sunday and three on Monday. In the event of inclement weather, match format is subject to change.

All matches will use Dunlop Championship Hard Court Balls

There will be a stringer available at Millbrook Exchange Tennis Center during the tournament.

There will be a trainers on site at Millbrook Exchange Tennis Center, Optimist Tennis Courts and Lions Park during the tournament. Remember that if you default due to an injury during the tournament, you have to speak directly to the Head Referee. Speaking to anyone else will result in a "Default-No Show" for your match.

An ORDERED ALTERNATES REPORT will be posted above. This is the order you will be contacted for any open spots. If you accept a spot, you must overnight your entry fee. Since you were not selected in the initial batch, your credit cards were never processed. We cannot take credit cards after the initial selection process. YOU MUST OVERNIGHT YOUR FEE - THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. An Alternate will not be listed as a Competitor until the entry fee has been received.
