ITA 2005 Summer Sectional Championships

Congrats to our two awesome sportsmanship winners - Tiffany Knop and Carlton Taylor. Thanks to all of the participants who displayed fantastic behavior during this tournament.

The following is a list of abbreviations used for sites on the draw. If you click on the abbreviation, you will see a map. Additional tennis court locations in Colorado can be found HERE.

Manditory Player Check-in: June 13, 2005, 6-8 pm (please make your flights early so you can make this). There will also be a College Tennis Recruiting Forum from 4-5:30 pm in Salon 4, and a 12 & Under Parent & Player Educational Forum from 4-5:30 in Salon H. This all will take place at the Official Hotel of the ITA Summer Sectional: Four Points by Sheraton Denver Southeast, 6363 E. Hampden Avenue, Denver, CO, 80222, 303-758-7000

The official hotel of the Summer Sectional is the Four Points by Sheraton Denver Southeast. (See "check-in" for address). For reservations, call 800-325-3535 or 303-758-7000. If rooms are not available at the Sheridan, please contact the AmeriSuites at (303) 804-0700. Address is 8300 E. Crescent Pkwy, Englewood, CO 80111. Mention Colorado Tennis Association to get the $89/night suite which includes two double beds, a pull-out couch and a seating area. This rate also includes a hot and cold breakfast.

Please note you must sign up for Zonals by June 14, 2005. If you are interested, please sign up regardless of where you are on the ITA Standings List! Even if you are not in the top 15 or 20 on the list and are interested in going, still sign up BEFORE the Summer Sectional. In the past, players outside of the top 20 on the endorsement list have been chosen. You will not be charged until you are selected to be on the team. Either sign up by going to "Juniors" on www.intermountain.usta.com, or go to www.usta.com and use the following Tournament ID numbers: BG12's: 257208105, BG14's: 257207905, and BG16's 257208205.

This year, there will be 2 (two) Sportsmanship Awards handed out - to one boy and one girl. These awards are generously sponsored by the USPTA. The exceptional sportsmans will each receive an iPod to acknowledge their excellent behavior on and off the court!
