Congratulations to our 2005 Sportsmanship Winners -- Davey Sandgren and Neils Barringer.

Please fax a medical release form (signed by both the parent & player) to the Arkansas Tennis Association, 501-223-0531. You will not be able to play until we have the signed form.

Southern MUST have a copy of your birth certificate. Please check the link on the searchable schedule, Southern B/G 18s, for the list of birth certificates on file at STA. If you are not there, please bring a copy of your birth certificate with you to registration.

The main site will be Burns Park Tennis Center, 4000 Joe Poch Lane, No. Little Rock. We will have one additional site -- Tuesday only -- Pleasant Valley Country Club.

The host hotel is the Riverfront Wyndham in North Little Rock, 501-907-4839. When calling for a reservation, ask for Donna Belcher. Ask for the Arkansas Tennis Association block -- $74 for a double/double. If you have a problem, the contact person at the Wyndham is Donna Belcher. The secondary hotel is the Country Inn & Suites, 201-758-2002. Ask for the Arkansas Tennis rate at both locations.

Doubles will remain open until 10am Sunday. You may fax or call doubles entries in prior to the tournament. Fax 501-223-0531 or phone 501-227-7611. NO ENTIRES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 10AM ON SUNDAY -- NO EXCEPTIONS. YOU MUST SIGN UP WITH A PATNER -- the tournament staff will not match you up.

Lunch will be provided for the players on Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday at Burns Park Tennis Center between 11:30 and 1.

Registration will be at Burns Park Tennis Center on Friday, June 17th, between 4-6pm. If you have not mailed or faxed your birth certificate or release form, please bring it with you at registration. There will be a players meeting on Sunday, June 19th, at 6:30pm on stadium court.

Clinton Presidential Library, River Market, USS Arkansas Submarine, McCain Mall, Wild River Country, Little Rock Central High School, I Max, and numerous movie theaters.

From Little Rock Airport to Wyndham Hotel: out of Airport, take I-440 and go right onto 440 towards Little Rock. Then take the I-30 East (downtown Little Rock) exit. Stay on I-30 and cross the river and take the first exit past the river. Turn left (go under interstate). About 1/2 mile, turn left onto Maple. The Riverfront Wyndham Hotel will be on your right. From airport to Burns Park Tennis Center: out of airport, go right onto 440, then I-30 East. Continue on I-30 until you see I-40 East towards Ft. Smith. From I-40 watch for the Burns Park exit #150 (approximately 4 miles). Turn left onto Charles Boyer Drive, then right onto W. Military Dr. Turn left onto Joe Poch Road. Tennis facility will be on your left.

The tournament will be block seeded -- which means the 32 seeds will not play a SINGLES match until Monday. They may play doubles on Sunday. Singles will be 2 our of 3 full sets. All formats may change in the event of rain.

If you are an on-site alternate, make sure that you give your name and cell number at the registration desk.

The seeding committee, composed of the Boys' and Girls' 18 rankers, will determine the 32 seeds. The seeds will be published to this site as soon as we get them, but not before June 15th.

The host hotels are full for the first weekend. We now have a block of rooms at the Baymont Inn & Suites, 4311 Warden Road, No. Little Rock 501-758-8888 -- $60 for a double/double & $65 for a king. Also Comfort Inn & Suites, 5710 Pritchard Dr., No. Little Rock, AR 501-955-9453 -- suites starting at $89.95. Ask for the Arkansas Tennis Association block. The La Quinta North, 4100 E. McCain, No. Little Rock 501-945-0808 has a few rooms left -- they start at $92.

On-line registration only -- the deadline to sign up is Friday, June 10th at 11:59pm, central time.

There is very little shade -- please feel free to bring umbrellas for the spectator areas.....

Sunday, preceding the players meeting, pictures for the tribute to Okechi Womeodu will be taken near stadium court in this order: Georgia 5pm, Tennessee 5:35, No. Carolina 5:40, So. Carolina 5:45, Arkansas 5:50, Alabama 5:55, Kentucky 6:00, Mississippi 6:05 and Louisiana 6:10. Please make every effort to be here for the pictures.

Times through Tuesday are on the web. We will use one additional site for Tuesday only. Pleasant Valley Country Club (PVC), #3 Pleasant Valley Drive, Little Rock, AR 72212. All other matches will be played at Burns Park Tennis Center in No. Little Rock. Directions to Pleasant Valley from Burns Park -- I40 West to I 430 So. Take Cantrell West exit (immediately after you cross the river). Get in left lane. Turn left onto Rodney Parham Road. Continue for approximately 1 1/2 miles. At light turn right into Pleasant Valley -- courts will be on the right.

The doubles teams as we have them now are posted to the web -- please check and make sure that we have you matched up correctly. For those of you who don't have a partner listed, you have until 10 am Sunday to find one -- otherwise we are removing your name from the list.
