The University Park Marriott is located at 480 Wakara Way in Salt Lake City. This hotel is located close to the Eccles Tennis Center and the Salt Lake Tennis and Health Club. This hotel is newly renovated and has a hot tub, fitness center, 2 restaurants, room service, a full service Starbucks, free parking and a business center. There will be no official check-in. Please arrive early to your first singles match to get your player gift and give us your emergency contact info.

UNTIL 12:01 AM ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT, CHANGES CAN OCCUR IN THE DRAW AS PLAYERS MAY DROP OUT AT THE LAST MINUTE. Please check your draw carefully online. Matches may start as early as 8:00 am on the first day of the tournament. Please make your travel plans accordingly.

IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A REFUND IF YOU WITHDRAW FROM THIS TOURNAMENT, YOU MUST NOTIFY ME BY EMAIL (rwise@utahtennis.com) or leave me a voice message stating that you are withdrawing from the tournament on my work voice mail at (801) 944-8782 x113 by 11:59 pm on Tuesday, June 15th. As per Friend at Court "The Tournament Committee shall refund a player's entry fee if the player withdraws no lager than seven days before the start of the tournament. No refund is required beginning six days before the start date of the tournament. The fee for electronic entries is not considered a part of the entry fee and is non-refundable."

Matches will be played at several locations. Please check your draws carefully. ECC = Eccles Tennis Center - located at 550 South Gaurdsman Way, Salt Lake City. LP = Liberty Park - the entrance to Liberty Park is located at 900 South 650 East, Salt Lake City. IR = Ivory Ridge - located at State Road 92 (Timpanogas Highway) and Center Street, Lehi. BRI = Brighton High School - 2399 Bengal Blvd., Cottonwood Heights - the courts are located south and west of the main building by the soccer pitch. SM = Sports Mall - located at 5445 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. CCHS = Corner Canyon High School - located at 12943 South 700 East, Draper. TAY = Taylorsville High School - located at 5225 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville. SRHS = Skyridge High School - located at 3000 North Center, Lehi - this high school is directly south of Ivory Ridge. WH = Wasatch Hills - located at 1216 Wasatch Drive, Salt Lake City, 84106. HER = Herriman High School - located at 11917 South Mustang Trail Way, Herriman, 84096. All Finals will be played at the Sports Mall or at Liberty Park.

All Singles matches (main draw and consolation) will be best 2 out of 3 sets with a 7 Point Tiebreak at 6 games all. All Singles matches (main draw and consolation) will play a 10 Point Tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set. Singles matches will begin as early as 8:00 am on Wednesday morning.

Doubles matches will be 8 game Pro Sets with a 7 Point Tiebreak at 8 games all, and are Single Elimination. Please check to make sure that you are paired up with the correct partner. YOUR PARTNER MUCST BE IN THE SAME SINGLES DIVISION AS YOU. FOR EXAMPLE, if you are playing in the Boy's 14 Singles Division, your partner can't be playing in the Boy's 16 Singles Division. Unfortunately these types of requests CAN NOT be accommodated due to potential scheduling and match location conflicts. The doubles event is very important, especially for those players who are interested in playing college tennis.

We are sorry that we are not able to remove the play-off for 7th and 8th place from the tournament website. There is no time showing because this match will not take place. The players whose names would show there would have already lost two matches and will be out of the tournament.

Play will be subject to the rules of the USTA. The USTA Point Penalty System will be enforced throughout the tournament. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.

On the third overrule of a player's line calls, the point penalty system will take effect. On the third overrule it will be a point, the fourth overrule it will be a game and on the 5th overrule it will be match.

If you would like me to pair you up with a doubles partner, you must email me at rwise@utahtennis.com NO LATER THAN SUNDAY, JUNE 6TH. I WILL PAIR UP DOUBLES PARTNERS FIRST THING ON MONDAY, JUNE 7TH.

A $15 late fee will be charged for any player who wants to register late for this tournament. A late registration will only be accepted into the main draw if there are less than 64 players in that division. For divisions with more than 64 players, late registrants will be placed at the bottom the alternate list. PLEASE SIGN UP ON TIME.

Players, please remember that as per Friend At Court, the players are solely responsible for learning the time and location of their matches. Tournament desk personnel will give out match times to players if asked, but "The Players should not rely on being told the time of their matches and should always check the draw." The exception to this rule would be if I reschedule a match because a previous match rang long, or GODZILLA TORCHED ALL OF THE TENNIS BALLS, etc. In those types of instances, the Site Director will let the players know the new time that the match will be played. IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, YOU SHOULD ALWAYS CONFIRM YOUR MATCH TIMES AGAINST THE DRAW.

Tennis Players will be required to wear appropriate tennis attire and dress in a manner consistent with the facilities expectations as well as the expectations of a participant in a USTA Level 4 event. Cut-off shorts, bare midriffs, compression shorts and tights (alone) or any other attire that is simply recreational and not tennis oriented is not acceptable.

There will be a Videotaping Permission Form available at the Tournament Desk. Parents or guardians of the tournament participants will need to fill out this form in order to be able to video tape anything that will include the other player. This form will require a parent or guardians consent and signature to allow the video taping of the full court. You of course can always videotape your own player, but for the protection of the other minor player, you will need to fill out the form prior to videotaping anything that will include the other player.

Please obey all rules and policies for the tennis venues and hotels. Anyone involved in any questionable conduct at guest facilities will be defaulted from the tournament. Please be respectful of others, be courteous to tournament staff and volunteers. An occasional THANK YOU goes a long way! Please help to keep the tournament sites clean by picking up your trash on the grounds and courts. THANK YOU!!!

IF MATCHES ARE RESCHEDULED BECAUSE OF WEATHER, I WILL POST INSTRUCTIONS ON THE TOURNAMENT WEBSITE. In the case of RAIN, please do not leave the site. Weather can change quickly and matches may be resumed sooner than you think. Even if the weather looks "iffy" where you are (unless instructed otherwise by a Tournament Official) always go to your site to check-in for your match, regardless of the weather conditions. If there is a rain delay, alternative instructions will be provided at the tournament desk. Playing indoors will be a last resort and every effort will be made to reschedule matches outdoors if weather permits. Players may be sent to alternative locations to complete the matches for the day.

USTA Rules of Tennis and USTA Tournament Regulations, including the Point Penalty System, will be enforced throughout the tournament. CODE CONCERNING SPECTATORS - SPECTATORS ARE NEVER TO MAKE CALLS. A PLAYER SHALL NEVER ENLIST THE AID OF A SPECTATOR IN MAKING A CALL. NO SPECTATOR HAS A PART IN THE MATCH.

USTA/Utah Tennis Association, Sponsors, and Host Facilities assume NO responsibility for damage or injury incurred by players.
