PLAYERS WILL BE SELECTED AND ALL SEEDING WILL BE BASED ON UTR REPORT. ANY PLAYER NOT SELECTED WILL BE PLACED ON AN ALTERNATES LIST IN ORDER OF UTR.

***IMPORTANT COVID REGULATION***
- Please do not come if you're feeling ill/sick. - All spectators and players must wear masks except for those playing matches on court, but will be required to put masks back on as they leave court to use the restroom, report scores and when they arrive for check-in. NO EXEPTIONS ANY PLAYER, SPECTATOR OR COACH WHO IS NOT COMPLIANT WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE FACILITY. - Player +1 on-site only (player plus a coach is acceptable, but only if a parent is not present) - Guests must maintain a minimum distance of 6 ft from one another. - Players and spectators leave the site once the match is complete once they have reported their match score. - All scores will be entered online only. We will not be posting scores on paper draws at the sites. - If a player would like to play matches with 2 cans of balls, they must bring their own can of the same ball type we will b e playing with. - Players and spectators should bring their own water and seating. DUE TO COVID 19 RESTRICTIONS, NO WATER OR ICE WILL BE PROVIDED ON COURT OR AT A WATER/ICE STATION.
PLAYERS MAY WARM UP PRIOR TO FIRST MATCHES OF THE DAY. PRACTICE/WARM UP COURTS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AT THE SURPRISE TENNIS AND RACQUET COMPLEX ONCE MATCHES HAVE STARTED.

Player/Parent Contact Info
Tournament directors do not have access to phone numbers and email addresses of the tournament participants UNLESS the player re-enters their contact information at time of event registration. This means that if a player does not enter their phone and email information each time they register for a tournament, the tournament director will not be able contact them for any reason, including withdrawals, defaults, byes, rain delays, etc. Your cooperation will ensure that tournaments can continue to communicate necessary information to you. Thank you.

MATCH FORMAT
Main Draw and Backdraw: Best 2 out of 3 sets regular scoring with a match tie break in lieu of third set.
FIC-Q, Main Draw Semi-final losers will play for 3rd and 4th place.
BALLS: Wilson US Open will be the official ball of this tournament
***There will be NO DOUBLES at this tournament.***

SECTION AND NATIONAL POINTS
This tournament replaces the L4 NNM Masters/Lobo Challenger thus will be awarding section and national points.

DRAWS
The draw making will be held on Friday, November 20th, at 1 pm. Draws will not be posted until scheduled over that weekend, and will be posted by Monday, November 23rd.

SPORTSMANSHIP AWARDS
SPORTSMANSHIP AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN TO ONE GIRL AND ONE BOY FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING BEHAVIOR BOTH ON AND OFF THE COURT. A SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD WILL ALSO BE GIVEN TO ONE PARENT FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING BEHAVIOR DURING THE TOURNAMENT.

Withdrawal Policy
If a player withdraws or defaults from any sanctioned tournament in the Southwest Section (L3-L6), after entries close, that player will be assessed 4 suspension points unless medical documentation of the injury or illness is provided to the Tournament Director AND Southwest Section Junior Player Development Manager within 48 hours after the completion of the tournament. "Player shall not enter tournament player cannot finish. Player shall not enter a tournament (including mandatory consolation) knowing the player will be unable to finish." p119 Friend at Court.

USTA Southwest Dress Code
All players are required to wear appropriate tennis attire. Cut off shorts, bare midriffs, and compression shorts alone are not allowed. Shirts should not reference sex, drugs, alcohol, or tobacco.

Electronic Wearables
Effective Immediately, The use of smart watches or any electronic device that can receive electronic communication, must be in off mode and in bag unless on break between 2nd and 3rd set.

Overrule Policy
Once a player has been overruled a second time, they will be cautioned that after another overrule, they will be penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct under the Point Penalty System: point, game, default. Rationale: This policy is based on Friend At Court Comment IV.D-15 which states, “An official should consider cautioning a player if there have been two overrules during the same set. Once an official cautions a player that subsequent overrules will be penalized under the Point Penalty System, the official must penalize subsequent overrules.

Refund Policy
To be consistent with the USTA National policy, there will not be refunds issued once entries close for withdrawal from the tournament.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Friday, November 20, 2020 11:59:00 AM Arizona Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
