FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES TO ENSURE YOU'LL RECEIVE COURT ASSIGNMENTS VIA TEXT
* When setting up your Match Tennis App account, all family members should sign in with the same username and password.
* Make sure you add three DIFFERENT contact numbers during the Pre Tournament Virtual Check-In THAT WILL BE ON during the tournament. They all should be cell numbers since messages will be in the form of texts. When you are called to court, all your contact phones will receive the message.
* If you need to add or change contact numbers go to “My Account” in Match Tennis App and click “Completed Waivers” to add or change contact numbers.

We instead will be using Match Tennis App’s Virtual Tournament Desk to help facilitate CDC guidelines for social distancing. IMPORTANT UPDATE: TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION IS GOING TO BE

This is a prize money tournament with divisions of Men's Open,
Women's Open, Men's Doubles Open, and Women's Doubles Open. The
Prize Money will be based on entries $40.00 per player in singles
going to prize money and $40 per doubles team going to price money
in doubles). Prizes will be awarded as follows:
_75% prize money to first place, and 25% prize money to runner
up.
_For example: If there are 20 players in the Men's Open Division,
there is $800 prize money. 1st place - $600 and 2nd place -
$200

As stated above, this will be operated as a virtual tennis desk.
Once the draws have been released, you will be instructed to
register for the virtual tennis desk on Match! Tennis. You should
download the app, but do not pay for a subscription. Your access
will be free for the tournament.
NOTE: When you fill out the registration/waiver on Match! Tennis
App, it will ask you for your "parent" or "chaperone". Please put
in your own name in these fields as this is designed for junior
entries.
_Play/Reporting Scores: Players please, arrive on
site ready for play for each match approximately 30 minutes before
first scheduled match time. Be sure to check in with Match! Tennis
App. When you check this means that you are on site and ready to go
on court as soon as your match is called. Matches will be called
through Match! Tennis App.
_Report your scores after your match using Match!
Tennis App before you leave the court. You will get your next match
time through the tournament website. Text messages or emails will
be used to communicate with players. Be sure you check the website
frequently for a new match time after your first match.
_
IMPORTANT EXTRA REGULATIONS DUE TO COVID:
_Players are to bring own water, ice and any food needed with them
on their court. Hand sanitizer will be available on each court.
Players should use sanitizer at least each time they change sides
of court. Players will be able to sit on benches at court. Use of
score device will be available. Please players only touch the
tennis balls on the scoring device which are for YOUR score, not
your opponent.
_Tennis balls will be at your assigned court and should be left
there after you have reported your scores.
_Masks and/or social distancing will be observed at all times by
spectators and players. Suggest spectators bring a lawn chair to
enable social distancing.
_Bathrooms will be limited to one person at a time. Bathrooms will
be cleaned regularly for safety of all.
_Scoring formats:
_Singles & doubles_, best of 3 tiebreak sets with ad
scoring and a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of 3rd set.
_Coman Tiebreak will be used for all matches
_FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS_: Does tournament play make me
vulnerable for promotion to the next level? Tournament
participation will NOT affect your NTRP rating. Tournament results
WILL affect your state ranking.
_Why do I want a State Ranking?_ The USTA Southern will host
an invitational NTRP tournament in late March, early April. Each
state in the Southern Section will select representatives to
participate. State Ranking is a requirement for participation in
this tournament.
_NTRP RATINGS PROTECTED_ In the Southern Section, tournament
results in NO WAY affect your NTRP ratings. This is your chance to
test your game against all levels of players without fear of being
"promoted."
_SIGN UP TODAY! We need YOU!!_ If a few people sign up, more
will follow. If for any reason your event is cancelled, you will be
offered a chance to move to another event. If you choose not to
move, your application will not be accepted, and your credit card
will NOT be charged. You will be notified of this action via
e-mail.
_Entry Type Entry to this tournament is open to all players as
an open division._ Entries must be submitted by Sunday,
October 18, at 11:59 PM (Central Time). Only USTA members may
register online.
