ON SITE ALTERNATES FOR B16
Any player who registered for the tournament and is on the alternate list may be an on-site alternate Saturday morning. Since the only division with alternates at the moment is B16, those players must check in at the tournament desk at ATA no later than 7:30am. If an opening becomes available (either someone withdraws late this evening or no-shows on Saturday) on-site alternates will be chosen to replace the withdrawn player based on their order on the published alternate list. Players must be "on-site" in order to be considered for a spot on Saturday.

DRAWS ARE POSTED
Thanks so much for your patience this evening as I was processing several withdrawals and finalizing the schedule for Saturday and Sunday. Matches that you see unscheduled will be scheduled for Monday. Main draw on Monday will be at ATA. Most consolation matches will be at WLHS with a handful at ATA. To help get everyone finished as early as possible on Monday, Monday's consolation schedule will be posted on Sunday evening since historically there have been a handful of withdrawals. The main draw schedule for Monday will be posted later this evening.

We will have wipes and hand sanitizer. Please feel free to use as much as you want. You will need to bring your own water/bottled drinks as we will not have water on the courts. We will have water and drinks available for purchase in the pro shop at ATA and WOT and some drinks available for sale at LTHS and WLHS. . Players and spectators may use our benches and are welcome to sanitize them with one of the available wipes prior to use. If you prefer, you may bring your own chair.
We are recommending a racquet tap at the end of the match in lieu of a handshake.
We ask that each player limit the number of spectators they bring to 1 per player.

IMPT: Monday Withdrawal Rule - Please Read
Players are required to inform the tournament desk or tournament director the day before of their intent not to complete their matches on the last day of the tournament. This must occur no later than 6pm Sunday for singles draws that end on Monday. It also can be done within 15 minutes of completing their final match of the day (whichever is later). For this tournament, all players must inform the site or tournament director by Sunday at 6pm for Monday (10/12) matches. The director will inform the opponent immediately of any withdrawals. Players who pull out after Sunday at 6pm will have their match coded as a withdrawal and will receive no ranking points for their wins in that tournament. If a player gets injured or ill after that 6pm deadline and they think it's important to "keep their ranking points" they (the player) will need to physically show up on Monday morning and pull out in person in order to have that match coded a walkover and retain their points.

Excessive Overrule Guideline: The USTA Texas Officials Committee along with the Competitive Department has established a guideline in reference to excessive overrules as clarified in the Friend at Court. This guideline states "Once a player has been overruled for a second time in a match, they will be cautioned that after another overrule, they will be penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct under the point penalty system."

|
Inappropriate umpire/spectator communication, whether it be about a ruling or any other facet of a tennis event is prohibited while a match is in progress. Being a parent, coach, etc. does not endow special privileges. With the only exception of the right to remove their own child from competition at any time, a parent or coach is merely a spectator.
|
USTA Texas "No Late Entries" Policy for Juniors Due to a new USTA Texas internal procedure, junior division players will NOT be able to register for a tournament after the online published deadline. We are aware that currently parents reach out via email or phone to the USTA Texas staff and/or tournament director requesting to be manually added to the tournament after online registration has closed. If a player misses the registration deadline, then he/she will not be permitted to participate in that tournament
|
Registration Confirmation: As a parent or player it is your responsibility to assure registration in the event. Regardless if you register on the website or mobile app after completing the registration you should visit the USTA web driven site and confirm your registration by finding the player in the applicants list. If you select to skip this process please be aware that should any malfunctions of the system occur, players will not be granted late entrance in the event due to a system error.
|
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, October 1, 2020 11:59:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
In the future, you can jump straight to this tournament by entering the tournament identification number: 800070420 from the searchable schedule homepage.
