In response to the COVID-19, we will be using Match Tennis App’s Virtual Tournament Desk technology to help facilitate CDC best practices.

* When setting up your Match Tennis App account, all family members should sign in with the same username and password.
* Make sure you add three DIFFERENT contact numbers during the Pre Tournament Virtual Check-In THAT WILL BE ON during the tournament. They all should be cell numbers since messages will be in the form of texts. When you are called to court, all your contact phones will receive the message.
* If you need to add or change contact numbers go to “My Account” in Match Tennis App and click “Completed Waivers” to add or change contact numbers.

The Southern Junior Competitive Committee has created three Southern Junior Pilot Championships for 2020 to limit travel throughout the section due to the COVID-19 pandemic and state constraints on traveling. The committee wants to provide additional top-level sectional and national point opportunities for junior players.

The Southern Junior Pilot Championships will be 64-draw singles Southern Level 1A (National Level 5 Shadow ranking 2021) offered in three areas Dec. 5-7, 2020. * The tournament that has the total best of strength field will be upgraded to a Southern Level 1 (National Level 4 Shadow ranking 2021).

Players may register for only one tournament determined by the state where they live starting on Oct. 15

Please note that only players that reside in Alabama, Kentucky & Tennessee will be eligible to play in this tournament. Players from outside of AL, KY or TN that register will not be considered for selection.

This tournament will host Singles & Doubles for Residents of Alabama, Tennessee and Kentucky. The main site for the tournament is Adams Tennis Complex in Murfreesboro. Address is 925 Golf Lane, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.Play is scheduled for Outdoor courts with late afternoon/early evening access to Indoor courts.

The Boys 18 Singles Consolation and Girls 16 Singles Consolation will play three rounds on Monday to reach the Finals. The Finals will not be played.
All other events will finish, weather permitting.

SINGLES: Feed-in Consolation through the Round of 16 with a Quarterfinal losers consolation Draw.
DOUBLES: Single Elimination
• ALL Singles will play 2 sets with a match tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd set. AD scoring
• Doubles will play one 6-game set with AD scoring. Set TB at 6-6.

3-Minute Coaching Break· In matches playing a match tiebreak in lieu of a third set there will be a 3-minute coaching break between the end of the second set and the match-deciding tiebreak.
· This 3-minute break is treated the same as the 2-minute set break between first and second sets, except that players may receive coaching on the court.
· Players may not leave the court. unless requesting a toilet break. The toilet break will be taken after the 3-minute coaching break. No coaching is allowed during the toilet break for either player.

The Dec. 1st Southern Standings list will be used for seeding.

Practice courts will be available all day at the Adams Tennis Complex.

This tournament will use the Dunlop Grand Prix Extra Duty tennis ball.

Doubles entries close Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 6pm.

PLAYERS Must play in the same Singles and Doubles Division in this tournament per the Southern Section. We apologize if you were given different information before this.
Doubles Deadline Wednesday, December 2, 6:00 p.m.
Teams must be declared. Register for Match Tennis App to contact potential partners.
• Entries will be accepted via email until the deadline.
• You must declare partnership by the Doubles Deadline. The tournament will NOT pair players without partners.
• You must play the same age division in doubles as you are playing singles.
• Doubles play will begin Saturday..
