2020 PROTOCOL FOR JUNIOR TOURNAMENTS
We have implemented a number of new procedures for junior tournaments. Here are the primary components: 1) Vetta West has separate doors for entering and exiting the building, please look for the signs and use the appropriate door 2) Everyone entering the facility will have their temperature taken, and anyone with a temperature will not be allowed to spectate/play 3) All players and spectators must wear a mask at all times, except when competing on the court 4) Hand sanitizer will be available for all to use, and players will be asked to sanitize before they receive their balls, and after their match is complete 5) Players should arrive 10 minutes before their match time, and should leave soon after reporting their match score 6) PLAYERS MAY "CHECK IN" FROM THE PARKING LOT (by texting my cell number), AND WAIT IN THEIR CAR UNTIL THE MATCH IS CALLED (if players need to use the restroom, they should come inside a few minutes early) 7) There is a limit of ONE spectator per player 8) Whenever possible, players and spectators are expected to practice social distancing, even when wearing their masks

Notes
Late Entries will not be accepted. Do not wait until the
last minute to enter this event.
If you have technical difficulties entering, please contact the
district Junior Competition Coordinator before the deadline has
passed (Carobeth Kelly, juniors@ustastl.com).
Skill Level: High-Level Intermediate
Eligibility: This event will be open to all junior members
of the USTA Missouri Valley. A player must be 11 years of age or
complete the USTA 10 and Under Youth Progression program.
Draw Size: The singles draw is limited to 16
players/division.
Draw Type: Singles - Feed in consolation through the
quarterfinals.
Tournament Selection: After the entry deadline has passed,
the tournament director will select the top 16 players/division
based on the most recent version of the USTA Missouri Valley
Standings List.
Seeding: Seeding for this event will be based on the USTA
Missouri Valley Standings List used to accept players into the
draw.
Scoring Format: Main Draw - Regular/ad scoring, best 2 of 3
sets, with a 10 point match tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set.
Consolation Draw - Regular/ad scoring, best 2 of 3 short sets (to 4
games), with a 7 point match tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set
Schedule: This is a Friday-Sunday tournament. Matches on
Friday may begin as early as 6 pm. If you cannot play throughout
the tournament, please do not register as failure to play to
completion for reasons other than illness, injury or personal
circumstance will be penalized. The tournament committee will
determine what constitutes a personal circumstance.
Withdrawals before entries close: Should be done through the
online registration process. Your credit card will not be charged
if you withdraw before the entry deadline.
Withdrawals after the entry deadline: Require a written
explanation of the reason for withdrawing, and may require written
verification from a medical professional. Failure to provide
documentation will result in Suspension Points.
Refunds: No refunds will be given for withdrawals after the
entry deadline.
Alternates: Players who registered for the tournament but
were not accepted will be place on the alternate list (in order,
based on the MV standings list).

Player Selection TypePlayers are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry TypeEntry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Monday, August 17, 2020 11:59:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
