Welcome to Day 2
Just a few housekeeping items, please arrive, check in, and go to your assigned court. If you do not immediately receive a court number. Come to the tournament desk area and you will be called. When you check in, be prepared to play. The exception is the 8:00am matches which will check in on arrival and be sent directly to their assigned courts. Match play will begin at 8:00. Please do not leave your used mask on the court. There are trash cans available on each court. Bring plenty of water, gatorade,, ice, and snacks with you to your court. There is a limited supply available for purchase in the main building. We had a number of heat related issues yesterday., hydrate! Stay safe & stay well

Tournament Formats
Tier 4 SCMZ Singles draws play Ad scoring, best 2 of 3 sets with 10-point tiebreakers in lieu of 3rd set Draws will be formatted as follows based on size:-13-32 players will be FIC through Round of 16 -9-12 players will be FIC through Quarterfinals -6-8 players will be FIC through Semis. -5 players or less will be a Round Robin Please click on the "more info" tab for additional information.

Player Maximum
The first 32 eligible applicants for the Boys and Girls 16s, and 18s players will be selected to play. A maximum of 128 players will be selected for this tournament.

Players Cannot Compete in Multiple SCMZs in July
Super Champ players are only allowed to play in one SCMZ in the month of July. (Example: Player registered for a SCMZ tournament cannot register for another SCMZ tournament in the month July without withdrawing from the original tournament)

Tournament& Facility Safety Procedures
Plan to arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled match
time and depart immediately after your match. 8:00am matches may check in as early
as 7:00am but you must stay on your assigned match court. Enter through the
main doors and exit through the double doors straight ahead. Masks are required
in the building. Continue past the
Stadium court to the back side of the pavilion. Restrooms are located in the
front of the pavilion. Most matches will take place on courts 5-18. Do not ‘jump on’ any court.
Check in via text to 254-717-8789. Provide your first
and last name and age division You will be assigned a court when you check
in. Go directly to that court. Game balls will be brought to your court when
both players have checked in. We
recommend that you do not use the benches but instead use that as your 6ft
guide. The tournament desk will be
located behind caution tape under the trees next to our courts. You may come to
the desk with questions or to get an official. Please respect the 6 ft
distancing for the desk marked by the caution tape.
Report scores immediately after the match. Leave
the balls and we will sanitize the benches and pick up used balls before
sending more players to the court.
Report scores via text to the same number. Leave the balls on the court.
Make sure you both agree on the
score. Include your court number, the
winner’s name and the winner’s score. Your next match time will show on the
app. Questions are welcome!
Bring your own ice, water bottles, towels, snacks,
etc. Bringing your own chair is a good idea for spectators and players. There
is a no-touch water dispenser beside the restrooms. Drinks and snacks may be purchased in the main
building. The pro shop will be open. 6ft
distancing and masks are required indoors. Stay hydrated!
Court usage will be tracked. If you test positive for Covid-19 up to 3 days
after the tournament, please let us know.
We will contact your opponents and the players that used the court after
you. Your name will not be
mentioned. The message will read ‘We
want to inform you that you may have come in contact with someone who has developed
Covid-19 within 3 days after playing in the August Waco Tennis Association
Super Champ Major Zone.

Check In Process-Revision
Players, when you check in via text or at the desk, please come or stay around the desk so you can go on the court when your oppent arrives.. We are running on time as of right now. As soon as you check in be prepared to play. We have an issue with people checking in and not being on site.

Thank you for participating in our tournament during these crazy times. We hope that our socially distanced tournament kept everyone safe.

Excessive Overrule Guideline:
The USTA Texas Officials Committee along with the Competitive Department has established a guideline in reference to excessive overrules as clarified in the Friend at Court. This guideline states "Once a player has been overruled for a second time in a match, they will be cautioned that after another overrule, they will be penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct under the point penalty system."

Registration Confirmation: As a parent or player it is your responsibility to assure registration in the event. Regardless if you register on the website or mobile app after completing the registration you should visit the USTA web driven site and confirm your registration by finding the player in the applicants list. If you select to skip this process please be aware that should any malfunctions of the system occur, players will not be granted late entrance in the event due to a system error.

ATTENTION ALL SPECTATORS (INCLUDES PARENTS, COACHES, RELATIVES, FRIENDS, ETC.) In an effort to promote a more enjoyable and fair experience for all, the following policy is in immediate force and effect, and shall be diligently and stringently enforced. USTA Texas has implemented a “ZERO TOLERANCE” policy for improper behavior.
1. Any attempt by a spectator to speak to the official in an abusive or disrespectful manner regarding a line call or other ruling during match play shall be cause for immediate removal from the playing area and, if warranted, from the premises.

2. Any spectator behavior deemed unacceptable towards a player, other spectator or staff member shall be cause for immediate removal from the playing area or the entire premises. If said behavior is directed towards a player, either before, during or after a tournament, it shall result in an automatic and immediate suspension of that spectator’s right to attend USTA Texas tournaments, for a period of time to be determined by the USTA Texas Discipline and Grievance Committee. 3. Refusal to adhere to a removal request shall trigger immediate enforcement of the point penalty system against the player with whom the spectator is involved (per point penalty system regulations), including possible immediate default from the tournament. 4. The On-Site Official is the SOLE judge regarding unacceptable behavior. Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, July 30, 2020 11:59:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
