If you are looking for other upcoming opportunities, a reminder
that there is an L5 in Fremont July 10th, an L7 in Omaha July 12th,
the Cornhusker State Games will be held July 24th-26th at Woods
Tennis Center (this is a non-sanctioned event, but a good play
opportunity close to home), and an L5 in Grand Island July
31st. We hope to see you all next time!
Thank you for registering for the upcoming tournament this
weekend. We are excited to host you!
To ensure everyone's safety, we want to review our new
tournament guidelines with everyone as there are local Directed
Health Measures in place, as well as guidelines from the Missouri
Valley Junior Competition Committee regarding hosting
tournaments.
We are limiting indoor traffic, so for this tournament, the
tournament desk will be located outside. Players should arrive 15
minutes before their match time to check-in. They should exit the
facility immediately after reporting the score and receiving their
next match time. Please do not stay and watch or socialize. We ask
that you not congregate at the tournament desk and maintain social
distancing.
Our ice machine has been turned off. We do have ice for
injuries, though it is limited. Please bring enough water, or a
cooler with beverages. Showers are closed in the locker rooms.
Additionally, we will have hand sanitizer stations on-site, but
encourage you to bring your own.
Players are limited to only two spectators. Please bring your
own chairs, as on-court seating has been removed. Players will be
provided 4 balls per court, 2 balls per player with each player
serving with their specific 2 balls. Scorecards have been removed,
so players will be responsible for calling the score out loud
during matches and confirming it with their opponents during
changeovers. Scoring format and other information regarding points
clarification for this tournament and more can be found in the
tournament message tab.
In the event of rain, scoring will need to be modified. Please
understand that should it rain, we will be moving from a tournament
scheduled on 12 courts to 6 courts. Local directed health measures
currently allow a maximum of 25 spectators in our facility. As
such, we must maintain social distancing and strict adherence to
only allowing spectators of players currently participating. No
other players or parents will be allowed inside during this time.
Additionally, bleachers will not be available indoors.
Regardless of if matches take place inside or out, please keep a
minimum of 6-feet distance between yourself and others. During
normal conditions, players and parents often rest inside the
facility in the hallway; unfortunately, due to current conditions,
this will not be allowed. Thank you for your
understanding.
By following these guidelines, you can help us, regardless of
your beliefs, continue hosting safe tournaments for players,
spectators, and tournament staff.
If you were not selected and are an alternate, should someone
withdraw prior to play beginning, we will reach out to see if you
would be available to participate.
Draws will be posted by noon tomorrow, if not later today. If
you have any questions, please reach out. See you all on
Friday!****
Late Entries will not be accepted. Do not wait until the last
minute to enter into this event.
If you have technical difficulties entering please contact the
district Junior Competition Coordinator or Tournament Director
before the deadline has passed. An e-mail may be sent to
kaitlin.roselius@gmail.com with a time stamp prior to registration

Points Clarification for this Tournament
Due to the COVID-19, all 17 USTA sections have worked to create a
fair playing field moving forward as a unified body in 2021. The
USTA Missouri Valley has agreed to terms with other sections to
establish certain time periods that level 3-7 tournaments can count
towards the 2021 national standings list. In order to comply with
this agreement, the USTA Missouri Valley section will award this
event the following points:
2021 USTA National Standings: Level 6 Points
2020 USTA Missouri Valley Standings: Level 5 Points
In 2020, a participant of this tournament will receive Level 5
points towards their SECTION ranking. For the 2021 standings, a
participant will receive Level 6 points towards their NATIONAL
ranking. (If you have any questions regarding this, please contact
Justin Bigsby, NTA Jr. Comp. Coordinator.)
