UPDATE 12/14/20
Hello Everyone,
I wanted to check in and let everyone who's already signed up know where we are at here in Cheyenne.
We are under a state wide mask mandate which includes the indoor club. Everyone entering the indoor must wear a mask and stay masked. Athletes can compete mask free on the courts however there will be no on court fan seating like there has been in the past. Please limit players guests to 1 per athlete. This will help me adhere to their guidelines and allow social distancing space.
Draws will most likely now be limited to 12 players. The state has requested only 10 athletes per event but I have been able to agree on 12. The District has 2 Wyoming wild card spots but I only see maybe 2 draws that they will be requested for. Players not getting a wild card will be selected off ranking and seeded off UTR
I will select early tomorrow and have draws up by late afternoon.
Yes, play will start at 8 a.m. friday. I will do my best to push back as far into the day as I can however if both age groups and genders fill I will need to use the entire day so we are not competing at midnight.
Yes, we have indoor dining open in Cheyenne but at a highly reduced capacity.
Normally this would be an event where kids played table tennis and games and hung out between matches. This will sadly not be the case this year. Please plan on arriving at the facility no earlier than 30 minutes before your match starts and leaving no later than 15 minutes after your match finishes.
We will have no community water source, but I will have bottled water and tap water available. Food will not be provided this year for obvious reasons.
It is a tough time for all facilities and TD's so please hang in there with us. I wanted to send this email out early so you may have time to withdraw if the changes negatively affect you.
We are going to do our best to run a good event while maintaining the safety requested of us by the state. I know not all of you will be selected, please know all the tennis providers are doing our best to come up with solutions until indoor play gets back to normal.

UPDATE
Hello All, This event has changed a bit for 2020 but I think the changes will be welcome. Each age group will be a two event with 12's and 16's playing Friday & Saturday. 14's and 18's will play Sunday Monday. Each draw will include 16 players in the compass format. This should ensure each player gets 4 singles matches over the two day span. I will be removing doubles but hopefully the extra singles match will make up for it. I will be contacting all applicants to make them aware of the changes. Thanks for hanging in there this year. Josh 307-221-2282
