start at 2pm on 2/15. BG14's will start at 5pm on 2/15.
UPDATE 2/13: Had to limit draws as we had more signups than
expected. ALL draws are full as of now. Sorry about any
inconveniences! I will send out an email to alternates if anyone
drops out of the tournament.
Start times will be posted 2 days before the tournament starts.

Start Times: Please arrive 20 minutes before your match as USTA
point penalty system is in effect from the start of the match time.
The tournament will complete in approximately 2.5-3.5 hours.
A Single Day Showdown is the perfect tournament structure for
junior tennis players who want more match play but don't have all
weekend to compete. These tournaments provide the perfect balance
of competition and fun for players.
Points per Round: Points per Round will be awarded per USTA
regulations as shown on the following link:

Entry type: "Open" - perfect for entry-level novice and/or minimal
tournament experienced players. Earn individual ranking points as
you compete (ranking points accrue for USTA members). Players are
not required to have a USTA membership, however a USTA non-member

Tournament committee: will consist of Brian Page, Meredith Pollack,
and Andy Page. Please contact the tournament administrator, Andy

Meredith Pollack will act as referee. Certified Umpires are not
being used for this event.
Format: Draws may be limited in order for the event to finish in
three to four hours.Non-elimination format with timed or other
short match formats.
Selection Process: for Single Day Showdown - Level 5
Tournaments
Open to BG10s and BG12s. No ranking restrictions; selections are
made in reverse order.
For BG14s, 16s, and 18s: No player ranked in the top 100 on the
current Midwest Standings List will be allowed to enter the Level 5
event.
If a club has stated draw limitations or can only accommodate a
limited number of players, a REVERSE SELECTION PROCESS will be used
to assure that the less experienced tournament players are included
in the selections first.
Players will be selected in the following order:
a. Players who are actually in the age division, from lowest points
to the highest points in that division.
b. Players who are from a younger age division, from lowest points
highest points in their own division.
Players are manually selected by the tournament director at the
close of registration.
There are no refunds once player selections are made.
