SUNDAY - MATCHES CANCELLED FOR THE DAY
Due to the continued rain and status of the courts, we are cancelling matches for today, Sunday 8/16.
|
SUNDAY ADDITIONAL RAIN DELAY, posted 11:10 AM
Unfortunately, it just started raining again and these cells are forming rather than moving so they will be tricky to predict. We
are delaying one last time till 2 PM. No matches begin before 2 PM.
I'll have the schedule posted (or send further updates) by 12:30 PM.
|
SUNDAY ADDITIONAL RAIN DELAY
Sunday 9 AM - It has just stopped raining although there is a fine mist in the air and radar shows possibility of more rain coming. Even if there is no more rain, there is no sun and we will have to get the courts dry. As a result, we are delaying the matches - no matches will start before 1 PM today. I will post the new schedule or further update by 11:30 AM.
|
SUNDAY RAIN DELAY
It is still raining here. Matches will not start before 11 AM today/Sunday. New schedule and/or additional updates to be posted by 9:30 AM.
|
SUNDAY SCHEDULE POSTED
The schedule for Sunday is now posted. Please check back tonight around 11 PM - if it's raining hard here as they predict, we may push the morning matches by 1 hour. IF we do this, the new times will be posted on the draws.
|
SATURDAY NEW SCHEDULE POSTED
Please double check your times (and location for one of the G16s) now! Some matches reflect a 3 hour delay, some have none. I have tried to sneak a few matches at Jefferson up to try to beat the rain. IF you can't make the earlier match time (it's only 15-30 minutes and all are matches that were scheduled for later in the day), please just text me at 703-862-8702 so I can let your opponent know. No-one will be penalized if you can't go earlier than originally scheduled. Matches will be best two out of three short sets to 4 games, no add scoring. I will review this format with players before they go on court today. Tomorrow's matches will be back to original set formats! Thank you for your patience! Please do keep an eye out for any additional updates as I keep getting rain alerts.

SATURDAY RAIN DELAY posted 6:40 AM
