Players & Parents -
Thank you for choosing to play our tournament this weekend. We are
excited to have you here! Draws are posted as of today (Wednesday).
If you have not checked them yet, please do so soon.
To ensure everyone's safety, we are providing you our tournament
guidelines as there are local Directed Health Measures in place, as
well as guidelines from the Missouri Valley Junior Competition
Committee regarding hosting tournaments.
Tournament Site: The tournament site is located at 1750 N.
Lincoln Ave. The tennis complex is located on the east side of the
Fremont High School Campus.
Tournament Desk: The tournament desk will be located at the
south end of the tennis complex. Players should arrive 15 minutes
before their match time to check-in. They and their
spectators/family members should exit the facility immediately
after reporting the score and receiving their next match time.
Please do not stay and watch or socialize. We ask that you not
congregate at the tournament desk and maintain social
distancing.
Amenities: Ice & water will be available at the
tournament desk for players only. Upon request, players will be
able to have their water container filled with ice/water by
tournament staff. There will not be any concessions sold this
weekend. Players are expected to bring enough water and/or their
own cooler with beverages. Additionally, we will have hand
sanitizer available at the tournament desk but also encourage
players/patrons to bring their own.
Spectators: Players are limited to only two spectators per
player. While the bleacher sitting will still be available, we
encourage you to bring your own chairs to better distance
yourselves.
On-court: Players should bring their own chairs as on-court
seating has been removed. Players will be provided 2 balls per
court. There will be score-cards this weekend; one player in each
match will be designated as the score-keeper for that match. All
matches (main draw & consolation) will use "2-of-3 sets w/ a
match tiebreaker in lieu of the 3rd set" scoring format.
In the event of rain or extreme heat, match times & scoring
format may need to be modified. Please understand that should it
rain, we may not have indoor court access.
**Please Note: Seeding for this tournament was done using the
Standing List published on Monday, July 13. With the dropping of
many 2019 points as well as the conversion to the new 2020 points
table, you may notice some significant changes to players' rankings
and, consequently, the seedings in this tournament.**
Late Entries will not be accepted. Do not wait until the last
minute to enter into this event.
Any player planning to take the ACT on July 18 must email Justin
Bigsby (mrjbigs@gmail.com) to state as such. We will be scheduling
around the ACT but must hear from impacted players by Sunday, July
12. This may result in the BG 16&18 divisions beginning play
earlier on Friday, July 17.
If you have technical difficulties entering, please contact Justin
Bigsby (mrjbigs@gmail.com) before the deadline has
passed.

Eligibility
This event will be OPEN to all junior members in the Missouri
Valley.
A player must be 11 years of age or have completed the USTA 10 and
Under Youth Progression program.
Tournament Selection
After the entry deadline has passed, the tournament director will
select players based on the most recent version of the USTA
Missouri Valley Standings list. The top 24 players in each singles
division will be selected.
Players may apply for entry in up to two age divisions. Unless
notified to the contrary, the Tournament Director assumes that a
player who applies for two age divisions prefers to play in the
older division. A player who applies for entry in two age divisions
and who is selected for the older age division is removed from the
entry list for the younger division unless the player previously
notified the Tournament Director that the player prefers to play in
the younger division. A player who applies for entry into two age
divisions and who is not selected for entry into the older age
division is then considered for entry into the younger age
division.
Match Formats
Best of 3 sets with Match Tiebreak in lieu of 3rd.
