covid rules at the club
Hi all, Welcome back to our first usta open at the Club since covid! We will be playing singles only in the month of August. During this time we will need to follow some social distancing protocols that will make this tournament fun for everyone!! Only one spectator is allowed to come with a player. This will be strictly enforced. All players will wear a face covering throughout the day unless the player is on court. Players will wear face coverings down to the courts and up from the courts to report their scores. The viewing clubhouse will be closed with chairs outside 6 ft apart where you will line up if you are on deck to play after checking in by the blocked of tournament desk entry. if there are already 4 players in the viewing clubhouse then we will have some chairs 10 feet apart outside the viewing clubhouse. If you have a bit of a wait and you do not want to sit outside then you may go to your car and leave your window down. Luis will call your name when your match is on using a megaphone. no special rules for the balls or changing sides but we ask that you stay at least 6 feet away from your opponent during the changeovers. Please racket tap instead of shaking hands. A touch less hand sanitizer is located by the main entrance to the courts and various hand sanitizers are located on most courts. Good luck and have a great tournament!!!

How to find your start time
The following instructions are to be used after the posting of the draws on Wednesday morning * opens are intermediate tournaments
YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE AN EMAIL WITH YOUR MATCH TIME AND LOCATION SO PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW.
On the right of the 'Important Information' button there is a new 'draws' button. Click on it and select the event that a player is registered to. Know that some draws (e.g. "B12s - Challenger", "B14s - Open", ...) are quite large so the system divides them in two, so a symbol (with a picture of a draw on it) allows you to select the top or bottom half of the draw and you could be on the second part of the draw. On the left of each draw, find the player's name and follow the line to the right. That will show you the first match, with a date/time and the abbreviated site name (e.g. LTC, Lafayette Tennis Club The sites (names, abbreviated names, addresses and Google maps), are available on the tournament web site. Come 15 minutes before your scheduled match time. After your match, report your match result (win or lose) and then check the draws online from your phone or look at the hard draws posted at the tournament desk
