Tournament Information
Welcome to the Paragon Junior Championships at Saint Mary's College! We look forward to having you out and watching some great tennis! If you haven't played a singles only Championship before there are a few nuances with the draw format and the match format. Please read the following.
Draw Format: Feed In Consolation (FIC) through Round of 16 (R16) with playoff for 3rd & 4th place, and a playoff of quarterfinal round losers for 5th & 6th place. This means if you lose in the Quarters you're still in the tournament.
Match Format: Main Draw and 3rd/4th Place Playoff Matches are Best of 3 Tiebreak Sets. Quarterfinal Playoff Matches and Feed In Consolation matches are Best of 3 tiebreak sets with 10-Point Match Tiebreak in Lieu of 3rd Set.
Draw Size/Selection: Top 32 players for Boys and Girls 18s and 16s based on a player's combined section ranking from high to low.
Maximum Entries: 128 players
Tournament Sites: #1: SMC (Acronym used for): Saint Mary's College (1928 Saint Mary's Rd., Moraga, CA) #2: BSP (Acronym used for): Blackhawk Sports Complex (1098 Eagle Nest Place, Danville, CA) -Guard Gate Passwords Required for Blackhawk - There is no special password. Just let the guard know you're playing in the tennis tournament. SPECIAL NOTE FOR BLACKHAWK SPORTS COMPLEX : All tournament attendees (players, coaches, parents etc.) are not allowed in the New Gym Complex. It's very nice but it's for MEMBERS ONLY. There is no going in there for any reason. If you do, it will jeopardize the future of USTA events being allowed at the Sports Complex Tennis Facility. Bathrooms to be used are in the building nearest the pool and the bocce courts. If you wish to have a chair, please bring your own and leave any chair which is the club's alone. Lastly, if you see snacks or bagels etc. for members please leave those alone as well. Snacks will be provided near the tournament desk for tournament players. Thank you for your understanding.

Parking: #1: Saint Mary's College * Free parking on campus on Saturday & Sunday. Paid parking is required on Monday #2: Blackhawk Sports Complex *Free parking available at the Blackhawk Sports Complex. Please be respectful to the members. Make sure you're driving to the Blackhawk Sports Complex, not the Blackhawk Country Club address or any other address besides 1098 Eagle Nest Place, Danville CA. Apple maps is not suggested because it can take you to another location. Google maps is suggested.
Weather Updates: This tournament is on, and we encourage you to invite others to play! If the weather changes or you are unsure if the times for matches will be delayed, that information will be posted at the top of this information page. Please do not contact the tournament director unless it is an emergency in regards to inclement weather.
Player Check-In: Players should try to check in 15 minutes prior to the start of their matches.
Withdrawing from the tournament: If you are withdrawing before the tournament has closed it's registration you will receive a full refund. To withdraw before entries close please use the confirmation number you received from the USTA e-mail you received when you initially signed up, then go back to the tournament page online. You can withdraw on the tournament website with that confirmation number. In any case where a player needs to withdraw please e-mail the tournament director immediately at tournamentinquiries@gmail.com as to why you are withdrawing.
Hotel Information: Walnut Creek is centrally located between each site. If you're looking to reserve a room before draws are posted, we recommend Walnut Creek Hotels.

Final Note: No pets are allowed at any site. Also any player/parent/coach/spectator exhibits behavior which is emotionally, verbally, or physically abusive, to any of the tournament staff, players, or spectators, shall be grounds for point, game, or match penalties, immediate removal, or potential tournament disqualification. Please be respectful of the facilities and everyone involved in the tournament.
