Happy New Year and thank you for registering to participate in
this tournament. A few quick notes to help you prepare for the
event this weekend.
-There will be a parent meeting on Saturday at noon that will be
presented by Nebraska Jr Competition Chair, Justin Bigsby. This
meeting will present the national junior tournament restructuring
in 2020 and what it means for your child in the Missouri Valley. We
strongly suggest all parents attend.
-There will be limited warm up courts available indoors Saturday
from 7-8:45am. Sunday there will be limited indoor courts available
for warm up between 7-7:50am. If it is nice enough you may be able
to warm up on a few outdoor courts.
-Registration numbers were down and play will only take place
Saturday and Sunday. Please check draws for your projected first
match start time.
-It is good etiquette to check in a half hour prior to your
scheduled match time. This helps us to assign matches early and
stay on time or ahead when possible.
-Main draw matches will all be 2/3 regular ad sets with a 10
point match tie break played in lieu of 3rd set.
-Consolation matches will all be 2/3 regular ad short sets with
a 7 point tie break played in lieu of 3rd set. This is NEW this
year for L5 tournaments in the Missouri Valley and will be across
the country starting in 2021.
NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. Should you have problems
registering you MUST contact the Tournament Director either via
e-mail at kevin@woodstenniscenter.com or calling (402)617-6992 and
leaving a message with a time stamp prior to the entry deadline of
December 29 11:59pm.
All 12-18 main draw singles matches will be two tiebreak sets
with a match tie-break in lieu of a third set. Consolation and
placement matches will be use the new format of Best of 3 short
sets (regular ad scoring, first to 4 win by 1) and a 7 point tie
break in lieu of 3rd set.
Due to anticipated level of participation and only having 6
indoor courts available we will unfortunately not be able to offer
doubles divisions again this year.
Player Selection TypeNo Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
