SPORTSMANSHIP

This tournament is not only a tournament displaying excellence in level of play, but even more importantly it is to show your excellence in Sportsmanship. We will be looking for excellent sportsmanship displayed by the competitors and in addition excellent sportsmanship displayed by the spectators and parents.
We are looking to award Good Sportsmanship Awards to those that earn them.

Notes

LOCATION: DO NOT GO TO THE RACQUET CLUB
Modesto Junior College (MJC) 435 College Avenue, Modesto, CA 95350.
The check-in tournament desk is located adjacent to court 1 (MJC). The tennis courts are right next to the track. You can park on Coldwell or in the lot just south of the courts.

DRAW SIZE & FORMAT:

The singles draw size is limited to 32 total players for each division.
The format for 12's and consolation is 2 out of 3 tie-break sets with a 10 point match tie-break in lieu of the third set.
The format for 14's is 2 out of 3 full tie-break sets in the main draw only.
There will be a full Feed-in Consolation match through the round of 16.

We expect players and spectators to demonstrate excellent sportsmanship at all times on and off the court. Zero tolerance is in effect for unsportsmanlike conduct. Proper tennis attire is required.
