Match Format Depends on the number of entrants, the format is either 2 out of 3 short sets (7pts tiebreak at 4-4), no-add, 7pts for 3rd set OR 2 out 3 sets (7pts tiebreak at 6-6),no-ad. 10pts for 3rd set. 5 minutes warm up. 3 minutes rest if split sets. Minimum 2 matches.

MAS Regulations and Ranking Points This tournament operates in accordance with the rules and guidelines listed in USTA Mid-Atlantic Regulations and USTA Friend at Court. By registering for this event, players and parents are agreeing to be familiar with and abide by all aspects of the MAS Regulations to include meeting sportsmanship expectations, all aspects of fair play, and respecting the game of tennis.

ELT ENTRY INFORMATION USTA Non-Member players are invited to play in Mid-Atlantic Entry Level Tournaments such as this one. All non-members are required to create a USTA account prior to signing up for the tournament online. MAS EVENT REFUNDS Member organizations are not required to refund players for tournaments affected by inclement weather. Per MAS regulations, in the event of inclement weather a tournament may utilize a shortened format in order to play the tournament to completion. If the tournament cannot be played, it is the MAS recommendation that players be offered a credit to a future tournament hosted by the same organization. However, this is only a recommendation and not a policy. Each member organizations shall post their refund policy on the tournament homepage.

GREEN DOT BALL IN 12U L8 AND L7 BG12 Divisions in all MAS L7 & L8 tournaments shall use Green Dot tennis balls. 10U Green level 1 players are eligible to play 12U MAS L7 & L8 tournaments and also earn stars/trophies toward clearing the youth progression

Due to ongoing challenges associated with Covid 19 every tournament is being reviewed to verify that all recommended safety protocols can be met. There may be situations where a previously posted event may need to modify draw sizes, formats, or divisions to ensure safety for all participants. In the event of a change notification of such changes shall be posted on the registration page for the event impacted and all registrants will be notified by email. Please verify that you are providing up to date contact information when registering so that you receive all updates.
**A player who has been exposed to or diagnosed with COVID-19 in the time between player selection and the first scheduled match, may request a refund or credit up to 50% of the entry fee not including Tennislink Fee. The request must be in writing, at least 12 hours in advance of the first scheduled match and must include specific reference to a confirmed exposure or diagnosis.

10U Youth Progression Information This event includes 10U Youth Progression divisions. The 10U Youth Progression is an earned advancement system where kids get virtual Stars for participation and virtual Trophies for finishing 1st or 2nd in a tournament. Earn 20 Youth Progression awards to clear a level! REFUND POLICY: Once player selections have been made, there will be no refunds if a player is unable to compete for any reason. There will be no refunds due to inclement weather.
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: If there's inclement weather, please be sure to check the tournament homepage before coming to your match. Matches may be delayed by one or more hours, or canceled for the day. An update will be posted throughout the day on the tournament homepage. If you're unable to access the tournament homepage, please text me @ (202) 288-4119. Match formats may also be shortened and/or consolations may be canceled.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, December 23, 2019 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
