THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED THIS WEEKEND!! We saw alot of good tennis and it's great to see everyone getting back out there. Please be sure to let me know if you notice any score errors. Please email citytennisace@gmail.com with any corrections needing to be made.

Match times have now been adjusted. Please arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled match. Matches are scheduled pretty tight BUT we would rather have you on site and ready to go on court as soon as courts are available. PLEASE CHECK IN VIA JOTFORM LINK. IF YOU AREN'T ABLE TO DO THAT, COME TO DESK WHEN YOU GET ON SITE TO LET US KNOW YOU ARE HERE. ALL MATCHES AT KNOXVILLE RACQUET CLUB!!

Matches will be moved indoors to Knoxville Racquet Club (5535 Lonas Dr, Knoxville, TN 37909).WE WILL MAKE ANOTHER UPDATE NO LATER THAN 7:30 AM WITH THE ADJUSTED MATCH TIMES. If you have an 8:30 match, your match will still be at 8:30 at KRC. Fee will be $5 per person/per match. You can pay cash or VENMO to Deidra Dunn-Dunn-1 (it has a Penn tennis ball can)

As of now, the forecast is calling for rain most of Sunday. I originally said there would not be indoor court availability; however, I am waiting for confirmation of courts at Knoxville Racquet Club. I will make another update in the morning around 6:30 am.. The plan is still to play outdoors at this poinT. EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE SURE TO CHECK THE TOURNAMENT HOMEPAGE TONIGHT!! I will also send out an update through the TEAM APP.

There have been a few changes to Sunday matches. Be sure to check your draw for any changes. WHAT IS POSTED IS FOR OUTDOOR PLAY TOMORROW. In the event we do get rain, we will make an update around 6:30 am in the morning. There is some indoor court availability. If matches are moved indoors, we will adjust match times as needed. COST FOR INDOOR COURTS WILL BE $5/PERSON (PER MATCH PLAYED).

*WE WILL HAVE A SMALL TOURNAMENT DESK SETUP NEAR THE OFFICE BUILDING IN THE PARK IF PLAYERS NEED ANYTHING THAT HASN'T BEEN ADDRESSED ALREADY. YOU MAY ALSO USE THE CHAT OPTION IN THE TEAM APP.


*RESTROOMS FOR THE TOURNAMENT WILL BE LOCATED IN THE WHITE BUILDING CLOSEST TO COURTS 1-3


*WE WILL HAVE ICE FOR INJURIES BUT PLAYERS SHOULD BRING ICE/WATER THEY WILL NEED FOR THE COURT


*WE WILL HAVE WATER/SPORTS DRINKS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE IF NEEDED....VENMO PAYMENT ONLY PLEASE.
WATER IS $1 AND SPORTS DRINKS $2; COME TO THE TOURNEY DESK IF YOU NEED TO PURCHASE


*IT IS FINE FOR PLAYERS TO BRING HIS/HER OWN CHAIRS ON THE COURT; BENCHES ARE AVAILABLE ON COURT AS WELL


*PLAYERS SHOULD BRING NOTEBOOK/PEN TO KEEP TRACK OF SCORE


*TENNIS BALLS WILL BE ON COURT PRIOR TO START OF YOUR MATCH; AT COMPLETION OF MATCH, PLEASE PUT USED TENNIS BALLS IN HOPPERS LOCATED NEAR COURTS 4-9


*PLAYERS SHOULD REPORT SCORE VIA CHAT OR MAY ALSO STOP BY TOURNEY DESK, if he/she is comfortable doing so

Once we have your opponent and court assignment, we will send you a message via the TEAM APP.

Warm-up courts will only be available ON SITE prior to the first round of matches each day. On Saturday, courts will be open as early as 8:00 am. Courts will be cleared at 8:45 am so matches will start on time. We will send your court assignments via TEAM APP.

All draws EXCEPT GIRLS 12 SINGLES is now posted. We will post the girls 12s once we are able to get all players entered..we are waiting for the KY office to take care of approval for a player to enter. It will be late tonight or early tomorrow morning before we can post that draw. Play will not begin prior to 9:00 am Saturday for the girls 12 singles.

We will be sending more information out tomorrow regarding protocol for this weekend. Please be sure to check TOURNEY MESSAGES tomorrow for the update.

MATCHES WILL BE PLAYED AT THE TYSON FAMILY TENNIS CENTER/TYSON PARK. The address is 2351 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919.

All singles matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets, regular scoring, with a MATCH TIEBREAK being played in lieu of a full third set. All doubles matches will be an 8-game set, regular scoring, with a tiebreak to 7 points (by a margin of 2) played at 8-all.

In response to the COVID-19, we will be using Match Tennis App’s Virtual Tournament Desk technology to help facilitate CDC best practices.

TOURNEY MATCH SITES: Matches will be played at both Tyson Family Tennis Center/Tyson Park (2351 Kingston Pike Knoxville, TN 37919) and West Hills Park (North Winston Road, Knoxville TN 37919). MATCH LOCATION WILL BE POSTED ON EACH DRAW!!

INDOOR COURT FEES:
This is an outdoor event!! We will do our best to arrange indoor courts, if needed, AT THE EXPENSE OF THE PLAYERS. The indoor court fee will be $6 per person/PER MATCH. These fees must be paid prior to the matches being played. BY ENTERING THE TOURNEY, YOU ARE AGREEING TO THE INDOOR COURT FEES!!
