FIRST ROUND CONSOLATION TIMES POSTED
All consolation first rounds will be played on Saturday at either Affolter Park or Quail courts. Please check your location and go directly to your scheduled site. Remaining Consolation matches will be completed on Sunday. Consolation will be 8 game NO AD pro sets with a set tiebreak at seven games apiece. Consolation finals with be a NO AD best of three set match with a match tiebreak in lieu of the third set.

UPDATED CHECK IN PROCEDURES
NO check in by text due to multiple sites and the number of matches to be played. There will be separate desks for check in and reporting of scores. ONLY players may check in & report scores & please adhere to social distancing if there is a line. Please check in 10 minutes prior to your scheduled match and remain in the area, prepared to go on court. REMINDER: Only 1 parent may accompany the player on Friday and Saturday at both sites. Two parents may attend the later rounds on Sunday at Quail courts. Please depart the sites in a timely manner after your match is complete.

IMPORTANT TOURNAMENT iNFO
Welcome to the City of Longmont Jr. Open. For the safety of the tennis players and family members we will be following guidelines for participation in the event based on health and safety guidelines and recommendations created by the USTA and local, state, and national health departments. *We ask that anyone who is not prepared to follow these guidelines does not enter the event*. -MAIN DRAW matches will be best of 3 sets with a match tiebreak in lieu of a third set. -CONSOLATION matches; Format TBD depending on draw sizes. -Each player will get a minimum of 2 matches. Players will have their own can of balls for use for 2 matches so keep track of your can of balls. Players will send balls over to opponents with their racquet or feet.. Be sure to take your can of balls with you each time you switch sides.balls. Return all tennis balls to the tournament desk after your 2nd match. Covid 19 and Event Guidelines
* Do not come to the site if you are sick, experiencing any symptoms of illness, or if you have knowingly interacted with an individual who has tested positive for the virus.
* All players and guests must observe social distancing guidelines, maintaining a minimum 6-foot distance from others.
* All tennis players and supporters are required to wear masks or facial coverings on the tennis courts, in the park and when entering the Longmont Recreation Center. Players may remove masks once on court, but must wear your mask if you are interacting with a referee or tournament monitor.
* All players must sanitize their hands prior to play and while at the site. Please bring your own hand sanitizer! There will be hand sanitizer available at the site if needed.
* Due to crowd size restrictions, we ask that only one parent or guardian attend the event with their player, especially during the early rounds. Facilities/Amenities
* Bathrooms: there are portable restrooms at the courts in addition to the restrooms in the Longmont Recreation Center available during operating hours. Masks must be worn inside the building.
* Please bring your own chair and umbrella for on court rest or off-court viewing. There are no benches on court.
* PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN WATER. THERE WILL NOT BE WATER JUGS ON SITE, however we will have ice and a first aid kit.
* Please minimize socializing at the courts before and after play. USTA recommends no social gatherings on the premises. Players and a family member are permitted to find their own area on the grounds to rest and wait for their matches but please keep 6 feet of social distance from other groups. Tournament monitors will be roving the grounds to enforce masks and distancing. Please respect their requests.
* PARENTS AND PLAYERS MAY NOT CONGREGATE INSIDE THE LONGMONT RECREATION CENTER. During the event
* Only players may approach the tennis desk to check in. Players must be on site 10 minutes prior to the match start.
* Place your equipment and chairs at least 6 feet away from your opponent.
* Scorecards: Home player - Lowest alphabetically
* Do not spin score post: 1 player to move the score post balls - lowest alphabetically
* Use a racquet tap at the end of the match instead of a handshake Leaving the site
* Take all your belongings with you when you leave, including disposable mask/gloves and trash. PLEASE RESPECT THE SITE so that staff does not have to handle YOUR trash.
* Please leave the site after you are finished for the day so that large groups are not forming.
* This is an outdoor event and the courts have lights so be prepared to play into the evening as needed.
* Event Director reserves the right to change the format if needed due to inclement weather or draw sizes.

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, September 13, 2020 11:59:00 PM Mountain Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
