Tournament Update - Match Times Updated
Parents and Players, This is Nelson Nguyen with the Pearson Automotive Tennis Club. I just wanted to send out a quick message regarding the tournament. Match times have been posted on the tournament page. There is a document on the tournament page listed as Future Match Times. There you just look up your players' name and it will tell you their first match time and what time they will play if the win and what time they will play if they lose their first match. As you all know, our tournament is very full so only a max of 16 players were accepted into many draws as well as our less full draws capped at their entrants once registrations closed. Please check the match times carefully to see if you were selected for the event. We are scheduled to run the event late into the evening on Friday and Saturday. Sunday we will start early but we have scheduled matches to start with a 12 hour rest overnight. As we are are attempting to have 2 out of 3 set matches all weekend, some consolation events will not be played out in the finals. Many will end after the consolation semifinal. We are scheduled to start events as late as 5:30pm on Sunday for anyone trying to make plans.
As a reminder, the club is opening the mezzanine for the tournament event, however, in an effort to keep all of the members of the Pearson Automotive Tennis Club and guests who are attending and participating in the tournament safe, ALL PLAYERS AND THEIR FAMILIES ARE TO ABIDE BY THE CLUB COVID-19 POLICIES as follows: *Players are limited to one spectator per player. NO Exceptions, please do not bring more than one person in per player. Example: A player may bring one parent in, but no siblings are allowed on premises during the event. If siblings are participating in the event, each sibling may have one spectator. *Masks/Face Coverings must be worn on the PATC premises at all times. Players on court for match play may remove their mask once they are on court to warm up and play. Masks must be put back on once players leave the court and return to common areas. *Players and spectators should only be on premises during your match or prior to your match. Players and spectators should leave once matches are complete and scores are reported in order to assist with social distancing and have as few people in the mezzanine as possible. You may return when you are ready to check in for your next match (no sooner than 15 minutes before your next match. *Scorecards should be handled by just one person during the match. Please use the hand sanitizer on court as needed. Benches have been removed from the court but players may sit on their coolers for matches. No outside chairs will be allowed on court. *Any players or spectators who do not abide by the above guidelines or any PATC Staff direction will be asked to leave the premises.
Thank you and good luck to all players! Nelson Nguyen Tournament Director nelson@pearsontennis.com 317-627-8019
