Important USTA 2021 Changes
The USTA will be launching a new, simplified nationwide junior tournament competitive structure in January, 2021. These changes will create a standardized system that will drive greater consistency for our players, parents, coaches, tournament directors and officials. These changes will help better address the needs of all our constituents with the goals of driving growth in USTA Junior Tournaments. PLAYER SELECTION & SEEDING
This tournament will use a combination of USTA/Midwest Points Per Round and Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) for player selection and seeding. Players will be selected for the tournament in the following order: 1 - 44 Players based on the most recent USTA/Midwest Standings List in the age division of the tournament 2 - 20 Players based on UTR Players will be seeded for the tournament in the following order: All 16 seeds will be done using UTR. POINTS PER ROUND

MATCH SCORING/DRAW SIZE
Feed-in consolation draw (through the Round of
16). Semi-final losers will playoff for 3rd and 4th place. Front draw matches
are best of three tie-break sets. Consolation matches will be best 2 of 3
tiebreak sets with a 10-point tie-breaker in lieu of a 3rd set. 64 FIC-R16

ORDER OF PLAY
SATURDAY - 2 rounds of main draw and 1 round of consolation singles. SUNDAY - 2 rounds of main draw and 3 rounds of consolation singles. MONDAY - 1 rounds of main draw and 2 rounds of consolation singles.

TOURNAMENT FEES
1) If your credit card has been declined, please contact the tournament director immediately. You have until noon Monday to pay the entry fee. The tournament director has the option to withdraw you from the competitors list if you have not communicated with them. 2) No refunds after player selection.

WARM-UP COURTS / TRAINER INFO.
We are not able to provide a trainer on site. Please bring all equipment (tape, foam roller, etc.) you may need with you. There will be an ice machine and bags available at the Match Point Tennis Pavilion for all players.
The referee will be available for Q&A at least 30 minutes before the start of play each day. Head Referee: Marc Bussan marcbussan@gmail.com
Warm Up Courts: Friday: Practice courts will be available after 3:30 PM and will be on a first come/first serve basis.
Sat./Sun: Practice courts will be available at 7:00am and will be on a first come/first serve basis. Monday: Practice courts will be available at 7:00am and will be on a first come/first serve basis.
Reservations are recommended and will be accepted via phone if CC is used for payment in full. Warm-up Courts will be available for $15/per 1/2 hr. all mornings before 1st matches. Please call the front desk of the Match Point Tennis Pavilion at (219) 972-1050 to make your reservation. Match Warm-up: 5 minutes

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, January 16, 2020 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
