Notes
- Draws will be posted by tomorrow morning latest. All Main Draw
matches will be 2 out of 3 sets, no-ad scoring and a 10-point
tiebreaker for the 3rd. Consolation Matches will be a Pro-set no ad
with a tiebreaker at 8-all. Consolation Finals will be 2 out fo 3
no ad with a tiebreaker for the 3rd set.
- We were fortunately able to secure more court space for the
weekend to expand our draws beyond the original 16 player limit for
all draws, and get everyone in the tournament! All players must
be prepared to play as early at Friday morning at 8am, as is Level
4 Rules. We won't have much wiggle room with a full schedule to
reschedule things, so please be prepared.
- All Main Draw Matches will be at the Main site at 1101 E
Crestview Dr, Newberg, OR, 97132 (Search "George Fox Tennis Center
in Maps)
- Some Consolation matches will be at our outdoor courts 1 mile
south of the Main Center on Saturday and Sunday with the dry
weather. To best find them, search "Duke Athletic Center" in
maps, park next to the football field, and walk to the southwest
portion of of the field around the black gate.
- Match locations are specified on the actual matches on the
draw.
- A tournament ref will be present for the weekend. Even so,
players will be encouraged to handle themselves in a responsible
and appropriate manner on court in regards to respecting your
opponent, giving them the benefit of the doubt on calls,
communicating the score, respecting 90 second changeovers, etc with
or without a referee on court.
Please see the following COVID guidelines we/you will be following
during the tournament. Please note these are subject to change this
upcoming week:
- Face masks are REQUIRED by all people off the court. Only players
that are actively on court for their match are allowed to not wear
one.
- Players are only allowed to bring one fan to their matches; this
will be strictly enforced, and everyone MUST check in at the desk
upon arrival
- Please check in at least 15 minutes inside the facility.
- If a player feels uncomfortable playing with the same set of
tennis balls, they have the option to bring their own set to use
alongside the tournament balls. They MUST be new unopened Wilson Us
Open Extra Duty balls.
- Only have one player use the scorecards for both players for each
match, or don't use if both players choose not to.
- Chairs are offered but not required to use for players.
- No pets allowed inside whatsoever.
- All players will need to fill out a hold harmless waiver before
participating in the tournament that will be provided at the desk.
If player is under 18, they will need a parent guardian's
signature. You will NOT be allowed to play without this! If you
won't be attending the weekend, feel free to email me at
jcero@georgefox.edu for a copy.
- Water is offered, but no water cups are allowed.
- Our indoor facility will open its large garage doors to have
fresh air running the entire tournament.
- Tap Racquets instead of shaking hands at the end of the
match.
