TOURNAMENT SITE

Barber Park Indoor

Tournament will be played indoors at Simkins Indoor Tennis Center at Barber Park (1500 Dan's Road, Greensboro, NC)

Draw Size

Each draw will be limited to 16 players with a Feed in thru Quarterfinals (FICQ); there will be a 3/4 playoff match.
Consolations all events will play to completion.

Start Times

Singles play will be on Saturday and Sunday only for this tournament.
Doubles play could begin as early as 5pm on Friday afternoon.
Start times and locations will be found on this tournament home page by noon Thursday prior to the tournament start.

L4 Selection Process

Players will be selected based on the current published NC standing list.
Players 14U-18U:
Player must have one of the following:
-Some NC/other state standing
-A verifiable player record, i.e. JTT, High School, Middle School, other district/sectional rank
Players in 12U: L4 12U players must have established 12U tournament standing; L4 12U events are not part of YTP.
Special circumstances may need approval from NCTA office of Player Development & Tournaments prior to acceptance.

Sportsmanship Expectation

In order to truly enjoy the sport of tennis, it is essential to display good sportsmanship which includes abiding by the rules, playing fair, and showing respect for your opponent. We expect that ALL players who compete this weekend abide by guidelines set forth by "the code".

OPT IN!

Through Tennis Link, Tournament Directors are now able to send emails and/or texts straight to you! You must "opt in" during registration in the Event Communications area. You may also do so on your "My Tennis page" after event registration. FYI, Communication is limited to 30 days after the close of the event and to only the players who have opted in.

Notes

1. PLAYER'S RESPONSIBILITY
It is the PLAYER'S responsibility to know their next match time and show up in a timely manner. Check the website often for updated match times. PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN FOR EACH MATCH 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO ITS SCHEDULED START TIME. ALL USTA RULES WILL BE ENFORCED FOR LATENESS.

2. SEEDING
This tournament's seeding will be done in accordance with USTA Regulations. They will be compiled and examined by the Head Referee, Tournament Director, and members of the Tournament Committee. Factors to consider in seeding (taken from "USTA Friend at Court"): Seedings merely represent the Committee's subjective ratings of the various players' chances of winning the tournament. These ratings may not be based on whim, caprice, or hunches, but instead shall be justified by a reasonable amount of factual evidence, including, but not limited to, rankings, current records, types of surface, and particularly head-to-head encounters. Two outstanding doubles players playing together for the first time should be considered for a place on the seeded list.
3. WITHDRAWALS
If you need to withdraw before entries close, you must do so online. Click on "Edit Registration," then "Withdraw." You will need your original confirmation number. All withdrawals after "Entries Close" must be sent BOTH in writing via email (to the Tournament Director's address above) AND by phone to the tournament site. Players withdrawing after the tournament deadline will not be refunded the entry fee.
4. LIMITED DRAWS/EVENTS AND SELECTION PROCESS
Limited Draws/Events: Draws may be limited in some divisions.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
