BAD WEATHER - What to do??

If the tournament Referee determines the courts will not be ready for matches at the scheduled time, they will go on "A DELAY". Example: Jo-Jo is scheduled for 9:30 am . Before you leave, check Tournament Home page under important information, and if it shows a "TWO (2) hour delay". The new match time would be 11:30 am at the same location. Thank you for arriving 20 minutes early for all match times. These UPDATES do not show up on the mobile site.

We will be using 3 sites. Bradley Center Tennis Courts, Ferguson Park and Racquet Club of Gastonia YOUR Site will be found on the draw, next to your match time and date. See directions below for each site.

Ferguson Park (FPark on draws)

FPark (on the draw): 1401 Golf Course Drive, Gastonia, NC 28054 - From I-85, exit 22 Go LEFT, at the fourth light turn right on to E. charHudson Blvd. At the second light go right on to UNION ROAD. Turn LEFT on to E. 12th Ave, Left on to Kelly Street and a quick right on to Golf Course Drive. Courts are at the end of the road on the left.

Bradley Center Tennis Courts (BCTC)

BCTC (on the draw): 1200 N. Modena Street: From I-85 take exit 19 (East Gastonia), go West towards downtown Gastonia. Turn Right at the first light (Modena Street). Bradley Center will be approximately one mile on the right.

Racquet Club of Gastonia (RCG)

RCG (on draw): 3104 Howe Dairy Road, Gastonia, NC 28056 - From I-85 exit 22 (Lowell) go left. Travel 6.6 miles, through 6 stoplights. After crossing over Union Road, take the second street to the left (Howe Dairy Road). Club is 300 yards on the right through the iron gates.
Saturday: Boys' AND Girls' 10 and under ONLY

1. SEEDING
This tournament's seeding will be done in accordance with USTA Regulations. They will be compiled and examined by the Head Referee, Tournament Director, and members of the Tournament Committee. Factors to consider in seeding (taken from "USTA Friend at Court"): Seedings merely represent the Committee's subjective ratings of the various players' chances of winning the tournament. These ratings may not be based on whim, caprice, or hunches, but instead shall be justified by a reasonable amount of factual evidence, including, but not limited to, rankings, current records, types of surface, and particularly head-to-head encounters. Two outstanding doubles players playing together for the first time should be considered for a place on the seeded list.
2. WITHDRAWALS
If you need to withdraw before entries close, you must do so online. Click on "Edit Registration," then "Withdraw." You will need your original confirmation number. All withdrawals after "Entries Close" must be sent BOTH in writing via email (to the Tournament Director's address above) AND by phone to the tournament site. Players withdrawing after the tournament deadline will not be refunded the entry fee.
