* When setting up your Match Tennis App account, all family members should sign in with the same username and password.
* Make sure you add three DIFFERENT contact numbers during the Pre Tournament Virtual Check-In THAT WILL BE ON during the tournament. They all should be cell numbers since messages will be in the form of texts. When you are called to court, all your contact phones will receive the message.
* If you need to add or change contact numbers go to “My Account” in Match Tennis App and click “Completed Waivers” to add or change contact numbers.

Welcome to the SC State Open Championships held in Kiawah Island and Charleston, SC. This is a USTA Southern Level 4 and USTA-SC Level 2 tournament. Please read all of the information on the website before contacting the tournament director.

IT IS IMPERATVE THAT YOU ADD YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION (e-mail and phone) during the online registration process when prompted. Failure to do so might result in not being able to reach you to notify you of alternate status, time changes and draw changes. If you are unsure if the correct information is attached to your membership, please email the tournament director (barth_jonathan@yahoo.com) with your contact information for the weekend.

Match Tennis App (MTA).
We will be using the Match App for court assignments and score reporting. We recommend that you stay in your car until you receive your court assignment. Please report the score before you exit the court. If you do not have access to a phone on court, please find your parent as soon as the match is complete and have them enter the score for you. This is how we start the process of sending another match to the now open court. There will be a tournament desk set up to manage the matches through Match Tennis App (MTA). Please bring you tennis balls back to the desk, and stand on the spots and confirm the score you entered in MTA. Please use the tournament specific link to sign up for MTA before 9pm on 12/9. Those who have not registered by 9pm on 12/9 will be listed on the Homepage. We are here to help you. The day the tournament starts is too late for us to work together on learning MTA.

We ask your cooperation with the following safety protocols:

Masks must be worn at all times when on site. The only except is when actively playing on court. Players and spectators must wear masks starting in the parking lot and for the duration on site. The proper way to wear a mask is to always to ensure it covers your nose and mouth.
Hand Sanitizer will be provided at several locations. We ask that you and your child use it each time you walk by.

The Roy Barth Tennis Center at Kiawah has limited hours of operation.
The rest rooms at RBTC have an entrance from off the back deck.
Charleston Tennis Center
CTC will be closed at all times except for restroom use. Only one person will be allowed in the restroom at a time and temperatures will be taken as soon as you enter the building. Please come to the back door to be waved into the building.


We cannot guarantee the safety of benches. Please bring your own chair if this is a concern.

There will be no ice or water provided.
Please bring a cooler for your child. We would love to put out water and ice, but the CDC recommends not to.

When your match is finished please leave the facility. This is to keep to our CDC guidelines on gathering size.
We ask that you not hang around the facility before or after matches.

We are all in this together. This is not about personal mask and outdoor gathering beliefs. This is about everyone getting to continue to play in tournaments. Everyone must follow the protocols that have been set, so we can provide the safest weekend of tennis for you and your family. Enforcement is not fun for us. We expect your full support and cooperation. The Tournament appreciates your help with this and look forward to seeing you.

The tournament will be Friday through Sunday unless draws are bigger than 32 or have inclement weather then we could play Monday. Please contact me if you have questions at (843)568-1468.

Matches may begin as early as 4:00pm Friday, December 11th for singles and doubles.

We will be monitoring the number of entries we receive. This tournament was originally scheduled in September in Charleston. If the number of players do not exceed 140 players it is possible we will play all matches on Kiawah. If you are planning on playing this event I ask that you enter as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. Thank you.

We are using one site for the 10's, 12's, and 14's during the tournament. It is your responsibility to be on time for your matches.

YOU MUST PLAY IN THE SAME AGE GROUP IN DOUBLES AS YOU ARE PLAYING IN SINGLES.

THERE WILL BE NO REFUND AFTER THE DEADLINE. If you need to withdraw before entries close, you MUST do so online. All withdrawals after entries close and anytime during the tournament must also be sent in writing to the Tournament Director: (barth_jonathan@yahoo.com).

A 25 dollar processing fee will be added to all late entries after the deadline has passed. A player will not be added into the tournament until all fees are paid. Late entries are listed in the order they are received. Late entries are at the discretion of the tournament director. Please enter on time.
