Greetings from the Lowcountry,
As you make your way to the Charleston area, please keep these items in mind. These guidelines are in place in the area due to Covid.
1 Please wear a mask when on site. The players will take their masks off when they get to court. If you need to get an Official both players must put there masks back on while they are communicating with the Official on court. If the player needs to take a bathroom break they must put their mask on to travel to and from the toilet.
2 The rules of Southern are no water or ice will be provided at the sites. This is for the health and safety of the players.
3 please bring a cooler with ice and fluid to stay hydrated. Also a chair and umbrella to help insure proper social distancing. We can not guarantee The safety of any seating that is on site.
4 All matches will be called through the Match Tennis App. You will receive a text to the phone number you signed up with on the app. Please tap on the link to confirm you are heading to court. At the end of the match, the last text you received has a link to report your score. Then proceed to the tournament desk to drop off the balls and confirm scores.
5 The matches are about the kids playing the best match they can. Everyone is excited to be back playing tournaments. Please understand that off court behavior in a negative manner will be address immediately.

Draws are now posted with match times. We will have additional information being posted later today. If you have not done the pre tournament check in on Match App please do it now or you will not be allowed to play.

Practice courts are available starting Friday afternoon at 12:00pm. You may warm up Saturday starting at 7am at the Roy Barth Tennis Center for your match but will be limited to 30 minutes if others are waiting. Once matches begin at 8:00am there will very limited practice courts in the morning. There are public courts at the Alan Fleming Tennis Complex on Johns Island (6 hard courts) located at 1727 Bozo Ln, Johns Island, SC 29455. These courts are 20 minutes away from Kiawah Island (14 miles).

There will be a trainer on site. All players MUST wear a mask when being seen by the trainer off court or on court.

We are using One site during the tournament. It is your responsibility to be on time for your matches.

1. Players will be called to court through Match Tennis App.
2. Please bring everything you need with you. This includes but not limited to: Court towels, chair, umbrella, sunscreen, cooler, ice, sports drinks, snacks, etc. We do not have ice available.
3. Players must wear face coverings while not playing. If you go to the restroom you must wear a mask to and from the restroom.
4. All Guests will be required to wear a face covering at all times while around the facility.
5. Once your match is finished you must leave facility with in 10 minutes of match finishing. This is for the safety of everyone.

In response to the COVID-19, we will be using Match Tennis App’s Virtual Tournament Desk technology to help facilitate CDC best practices.

* When setting up your Match Tennis App account, all family members should sign in with the same username and password.
* Make sure you add three DIFFERENT contact numbers during the Pre Tournament Virtual Check-In THAT WILL BE ON during the tournament. They all should be cell numbers since messages will be in the form of texts. When you are called to court, all your contact phones will receive the message.
* If you need to add or change contact numbers go to “My Account” in Match Tennis App and click “Completed Waivers” to add or change contact numbers.

All players must use the Match App for play. Please check in from your car until you receive your message from Match App that your court is ready. After you finish, please submit your scores so we know the court is open. You must leave the facility right after you play.

You MUST maintain a 6 foot distance from everyone at all times. Please change on the opposite side as your opponent.

128 draw for singles division with Feed In through the round of 16 with a Quarterfinal Playoff. The quarterfinal losers automatically go into their own back draw. The four losers will play and the two winners will play for 5th and 6th. The 7th & 8th playoff do not play. Doubles will be a 64 draw and will start on Saturday. Single Elimination with a 3/4 playoff. 6 game set with a tiebreak at 6-6. Main Draw Singles will be two tie break sets with a 10 point match break in lieu of the third set. Consolation Singles & Quarterfinal Playoffs will be two tie break sets with a 10 point match break in lieu of the third set.

We will have a stringer available Friday afternoon through Tuesday at the Roy Barth Tennis Center. The charge for labor is $20 per racquet.

Special accommodation rates are available in one, two, or three bedroom scenic villas. One bedroom villas are $225/night, two bedroom villas are $345/night, and three bedroom villas are $395/night. Rates are based on availability of villas and are subject to a 9% resort fee and 13% tax. Please be aware that players do not have the option to register for doubles as this tournament does not offer doubles now in order to follow USTA & Southern guidelines for player safety.

We are accepting late entries. There will be a $25 charge for all late entries.
