FORMAT UPDATE (ONLY G12s and B14s):
Format Update (ONLY G12s and B14s): Beginning in the QF round of MD and the 2nd round of Consolation, the format will change to short sets through the remaining rounds (2 regular short sets to 4 games with a 10-point match tiebreak for 3rd set).

Due to the weather on Saturday, we have revised all draws for Sunday matches. Please check your site and match time. Most Divisions will return to the same site as played on Saturday, except Boys 14s will move to Newman Tennis Center. Please check the draws, carefully...not all divisions will finish play due to the delay.

3:00 pm: FTC Site Update - matches on courts 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 are delayed until 5:00 pm, we will update all other matches by 4:00 pm with new match times. 3:00 PM: DLTC Site Update - all matches on court report by 4:00 pm (Rodriguez, Bautista, Wakefield and Atwood report by 4:00 pm); all other matches report at 4:30 pm. 3:00 PM; NTC Site Update - no matches before 5:00 pm;
2:30 pm - NTC Site Update - matches on court are delayed until 4:00 pm. 2:00 matches should report at 4:00 pm. All other matches should now be on a 1.5 hour delay from posted match time. We will update again if conditions do not improve.
2:00 pm - rain delay at NTC, FTC and DLTC. NTC: players on court report back at 3:00 , matches not on court add 1 hour to your match time. DLTC: players on court report at 4:00 - All other matches we will update you at 3:00 FTC: matches on court report at 2:30 (matches on courts 6,7,8,9, 10 report at 2:45). 2:30 and 3:00 matches add 1 hour to your match time.

PLAYER INFORMATION - (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY )
1. Use MatchTenisApp "PLAYER CHECK-IN" 15 - 30 minutes before your match. Do not check-in any earlier than this time. If you check-in late you, will be penalized per USTA FAC. 2. When your match is called...go directly to your court (THERE IS NO TOURNAMENT DESK) - click the blue link to confirm your court assignment. Then you will be able to report the scores after your match. 3. Match balls - 1 can of balls will be provided (on court). The balls are yours to keep after the match and can be used as extra balls for subsequent matches. We will not provide used balls. 4. Players will use scoring device (only one player will keep up with the score). 5. Please bring your own Ice and (we do have refill stations if needed). Volunteers will assist at a safe distance. 6. After the match and before you leave the court, report your scores via the TennisMatchApp link sent to your cellphone. Please gather your trash and take with you when you leave the court and the facility. We will be sanitizing and prepping courts for the next matches. 7. Practice courts will be available early in the morning - 7:00 am - 7:30 am as they will be sanitized for matches beginning at 7:30 am. 8. Spectators of players should bring your own chairs to watch matches...bleachers will be blocked off. 9. Face masks should be worn when not socially distancing.

PRACTICE COURTS (No Bags on Court/No Sitting on Benches)
Practice Court Availability- Practice courts will only be available early in the mornings from 7:00 am - 7:40 am. Newman Tennis Center may have two courts available (courts 13 and 14) throughout the day. Leave bags off the court, outside the gate. Do not sit on benches.

For the safety of all Tournament players, parents, coaches and staff we will NOT be using a physical tournament desk where the social gathering is most common. FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES TO ENSURE YOU'LL RECEIVE COURT ASSIGNMENTS VIA TEXT
* When setting up your Match Tennis App account, all family members should sign in with the same username and password.
* Make sure you add three DIFFERENT contact numbers during the Pre Tournament Virtual Check-In THAT WILL BE ON during the tournament. They all should be cell numbers since messages will be in the form of texts. When you are called to court, all your contact phones will receive the message.
* If you need to add or change contact numbers go to “My Account” in Match Tennis App and click “Completed Waivers” to add or change contact numbers.

FACILITY GUIDLEINES
Players, parents or coaches will not be allowed in the buildings. Only tournament officials, racquet stringer and trainer will be allowed in the building. MASK ARE REQUIRED IN THE BUILDING. Players should bring their own water and ice. Players should bring only one person with them to the match site. If there is a rain delay players will be directed to their cars. Social distancing is required at all times. Restrooms will be available. Hand sanitizer will be available as you exit the match site. Players should not shake hands. Players should use racquets to return ball to adjacent courts. DO NOT TOUCH the balls.

PLAYER AND SPECTATOR COVID-19 GUIDELINES
Player and Spectator Covid - 19 Guidelines and Recommendations
If you do not feel comfortable playing tennis- DO NOT PLAY. Only play if you are
comfortable playing. Each person is responsible for his or her own safety during these
unknown challenging times. BE SAFE.
If you are sick with any symptoms at ALL, DO NOT ATTEND OR PLAY A MATCH! Guidelines for Players –
Social distancing:
? Arrive at the venue dressed for your match shortly before your allotted start time
and depart the venue immediately after the match. Do not use the locker rooms
or showers
? Players should maintain at least 6 feet between each other and officials
? Do not shake hands with players/opponents or have any other physical/close
contact before, during or after a match
? Balls should be touched as little as possible; use your racket or foot instead
? At changeovers, go around opposite sides of the net
? Do not share any equipment or other items (racket, water bottles, food) with
teammates or opponents
? Exit the facility as soon as your match is completed and scores reported
? Follow any other facility guidelines or recommendations
Observe good hygiene:
? Avoid touching surfaces where possible
? Wash/sanitize your hands regularly, including before and after bathroom use,
and after touching surfaces
? Use hand sanitizer after the completion of the match
? Cough into a tissue and discard it immediately
? Don’t touch your face
? Bring personal hand sanitizer and wipes to the tournament
? Sanitize your grip; wipe and disinfect your racquet after play
? Do not place personal items on public surfaces. Ex. Towels should be placed on
your bag not on the court, fence or net post.

EVENTS
Singles (No doubles will be offered due to Covid-19)
SELECTION
PROCESS
Players will be selected for
Southern L1, L1A, L2, and L3 Tournaments ONLY from the most recent Southern
Standing List of the division of the tournament; players will no longer be
selected from the next-younger division Southern Standing List.
ENTERING TWO DIVISIONS
Players can enter two divisions in Southern Levels 1A, 2,
and 3 tournaments.
1. Players
selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in
the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division.
2. Players
not selected to either division would remain on the alternates lists for both
division but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the
alternates list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the other
division.
3. Players
selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the
division they were not selected.
4. Once a
player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.
SEEDING
and DRAWS
Seeding shall be done using only the results
from most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of the
division in the order in which players appear on the list. Players selected on
their 10's standing shall not be considered for seeding in the 12's
division.
Draws and seeds will be posted on Thursday, September 10th at 3:00 pm.
WATERFALL
PROCESS FOR SPLITTING COMPETITORS
Thirty-two (32) players will be selected for each
event (see selection process headline) and then be split into two Draws of 16
players using the Waterfall System for selection. If a draw has 23 players or less, then a single 32-draw will be played
with feed-in through the quarterfinals. Seeding will be made prior to the players being split. The 32
players will be split as follows.
Red Draw: 1,4,5,8,9,12,13,16,17,20,21,24,25,28,29,32
White Draw: 2,3,6,7,10,11,14,15,18,19,22,23,26,27,30,31
PLAYING FORMAT AND SCORING
BG10s:
Boys and Girls 10's will play on the regular 78' court, using
Green Ball. The required scoring format for 10's singles matches shall be the
best of two short sets with NO-AD scoring (first to four (4) and win by two),
with a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) at 4-4 in each set, and
a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) in lieu of the third
set.
BG12-18s
All Singles draws will play the best two out of three tie-break
sets with a Match tie break in lieu of the third set, with a Full Feed in
Consolation through the Quarterfinals and 3/4 playoff. The Finals
of the Consolation Draw will not be scheduled and will not be played.
ALTERNATES
Alternate’s List: The alternate list will be updated daily after
selections are made. Once posted, it will be listed above - "Alternate by
Event" list. If you plan to enter another tournament, you must first
e-mail the Tournament Director to take your name off the alternate list.
On Site Alternates must register at their age group's tournament
site. You must inform the Tournament Referee on Thursday night or before that
you plan to be an On-Site Alternate. Please make sure we have accurate contact
information for you to be reached during the weekend. On-Site Alternates will
be selected in the order of the Alternates List. On Site Alternates should be
on-site when their age and gender check in for play 30 minutes prior to the
first match in the first round (or 2nd round if there are Byes).
WITHDRAWALS PRIOR TO ENTRY DEADLINE
If you have entered and wish to withdraw prior to the entry deadline, please go
to the tournament web page and click on Edit Registration. You will need your
confirmation number that you received in your confirmation e-mail to complete
the withdrawal process.
WITHDRAWALS AFTER SELECTION & DURING TOURNAMENT
A player shall not enter a tournament and then withdraw when the player discovers
that tough opponents have also entered. A player may withdraw from a match or
tournament only because of injury, illness, or personal circumstance; written verification must be provided.
A player who cannot play a match shall notify the Referee in writing (NO
PHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED) immediately so that the opponent may be
notified at once and saved a trip. A
player who withdraws from a tournament is not entitled to the return of the
entry fee unless the player withdrew prior to the published refund deadline
date. Deadline for refund: players must withdraw by Noon on Friday, August
30 h to receive a refund.
WEATHER/REFUNDS
In the event of inclement weather and you do not play any matches in this
tournament you are entitled to a partial refund based on the fixed tournament
expenses. Please understand that tournaments have fixed costs which include:
Trophies, T-shirts, Balls, USTA Officials, and many other costs that we must
cover. The Tennislink portion of your entry fee is non-refundable in accordance
with USTA policy. If you do complete a match, there is no refund/credit. Thank
you for your understanding.

DRESS CODE
The Tournament
committee has set a dress code for this Tournament, the rules to which all
participants are expected to adhere. These Rules are based on our community
standards and all participants must observe, all rules, at all of the sites
used during the tournament. Good manners on and off the court will be required
of all participants, coaches and family at all times. Proper tennis attire
should be worn. For females, proper attire does not include, roll down waist
bands on skirts or shorts, or exposure of skin between tops and skirts or
shorts. For males, proper attire does not include tank tops or sleeveless
shirts, or shorts worn below the waist. Shirts must be worn at all times. Please respect our standards and adhere to
our rules. Failure to do so will result in the player being required to change
prior to the match. This delay may result in penalties (PPS) being assessed.
TENNIS BALLS BEING USED ProPenn Marathon. Green balls
for 10's.

Ultimately, however, it is up to each player and/or parent to decide whether to

Welcome!
This is an advanced-level tournament sanctioned by USTA
Georgia as a Level 3 (Southern Level 3 points). Registration must be completed online. In the
future, you can jump straight to this tournament by entering the tournament

searchable schedule homepage. Players may register for two age divisions. Players will automatically be selected for the older age division. Players must play in the same doubles age division as singles.T-shirts for all participants.
Boys and Girls registered for 12 and under division will play on a full court with yellow balls.
Boys and Girls 10 and under that are eligible for green balls in Youth
Progression will play on a full court with green dot balls.

Late Entrants The USTA Southern late entry policy will be followed and is stated below.
Draws
Draws will be published by Thursday at 3 pm. It is your
responsibility to check this tournament webpage for the players’ draws, match
times and any other updates.
Format For all USTA Southern 10 and Under, Level 1-3 tournament play (not including Jr. Team Tennis), the required scoring format for singles matches, shall be the best of two short sets (first to four (4) and win by two), with a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) at 4-4 in each set, and a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) for the third set. No-ad scoring. Scoring for BG 12-18 - Main Draw and Consolation (FIC): Best of 2 sets with a 10 pt. Match tiebreaker in lieu of the 3rd set. Consolation finals will not be played. Doubles - All doubles players must play in the same age division as they do in singles. BG 12-18 - 6 game set with a 7 point set tiebreak at 6 all. Ad scoring. BG 10 - 6 game set with a 7 point set tiebreak at 6 all. No-ad scoring. (NOTE: DUE TO COVID-19, DOUBLES WILL NOT BE OFFERED FOR THIS EVENT)
Withdrawals and Refund Policy Before the deadline, withdraw through TennisLink. After the deadline, email the tournament director. Refunds are only available for players who do not complete a match due to inclement weather or cancellation of the tournament. If there is a refund, it would be minus the fixed costs of the tournament. Note: the TennisLink fee is non-refundable.

The USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR
GUARDIAN for every player. This form is two pages and must be presented at the

LATE ENTRIES
Late entries may be accepted or placed on the alternate list in the order received after entries received by the deadline. Entries received at the same time are ordered randomly. If the draw has been made the Tournament Committee may accept only late entries of players who do not invalidate the seeding. A fee of $25.00 will be charged for Late Entries.
