Please note that the Boy's 16's Gray Quarterfinals will play at O'Connor. This move should get that round completed 1.5 to 2 hours earlier in the day.

We will be playing 3 rounds of doubles on Friday. Please check in at the site you are playing at least 30 minutes before your match time. If you and your opponents are ready we may start your doubles match at 4:30. The draws will be up by 2 PM Central time.

Doubles will begin Friday afternoon at 5 PM and play 3 rounds. Singles will begin Saturday morning at 8 or 9 AM.

**At this time the initial SELECTION process is complete. I have not processed the late entries or ordered Alternates. That will be done by 2 PM Tuesday, February 24.
**If you were not Selected for singles, I tried to not select you for doubles. This doesn't mean you can't play doubles, but to be considered for doubles you will need to send me an email request to still be considered for doubles. If you got in singles and your partner did not, you were also removed from doubles.You can still be considered for doubles if you send me an email request for entry.
**Please, please go to your age group and verify your doubles standing.If there is an error send me an email so we can get it fixed in time.

Must be a resident of USTA Southern. This is defined as individuals who have established a legal residency in one of nine states of USTA Southern whose geographical boundaries are determined by USTA Southern. Legal residency for juniors is that of his/her legal supporting parent(s). Individuals must be United States citizens or permanent resident aliens.

Singles will have a draw size of 32 and doubles will have a draw size of 16. You are required to play in the same age group for singles and doubles at this tournament.

Singles:
Will be balanced into 16 player draws created by using the waterfall method. If entries are 32 and under, then regular 32 draw will be used. The consolation will feed-in through quarters for 16 draws. The main draw will finish and playoff for 3rd and 4th. The consolation do not play the consolation finals.


Doubles:
Will be 16 team draws with no Consolation. Play will not begin before 5 PM on Friday. The main draw will finish and playoff for 3rd and 4th.

*In singles the Boy's and Girl's 12's -18's will play best 2 out of 3 tiebreak sets with a 10 -point match tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set and in doubles play a 6 game set with a tiebreak at 6-all(with add scoring).


*In singles the Boy's and Girl's 10's will play 2 out of 3 short sets(with No-ad scoring) with a 7 point tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set. At 4-all a set tiebreak is played. In doubles they will play a 6-game set with a tiebreaker at 6-all with no-ad scoring.

Players may register for 2 age divisions in this Level tournament. Players that do register for both age divisions will automatically be selected in the older age division if they get selected for both. They will be removed from the other age division. Players not selected to either division will remain on the alternates lists for both division but will be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternates list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the other division. Once a player is selected for any one division NO CHANGES CAN BE MADE. Alternates may only switch divisions if there is an OPENING in the draw they want to switch into.

USTA Southern office will provide the tournament director with a Selection List for the tournament. These are the results from the most recently publicized USTA Southern Combined Standing Lists in order in which the player appears on the list. These lists are usually sent one or two days after entries close. Seeding must done off the most up to date Standing list. With the two 16 draws, seeds will be done by the waterfall method as well.

Draws, seeds and times will be published 3:00pm Thursday before the Tournament begins.

Youth Progression for 10 and under Events: All Players ages 10 and under must play thru the new Youth Progression System. Starting with 2017 Tournaments players will only be allowed to enter tournaments at their approved level or one level below. No playing up will be allowed. In general players will find the progression from Orange 2(entry Level, will count as a level 5) to Orange 1(intermediate Level will count as a level 4) the quickest, then from Orange 1 to Green Level 10's(Advanced will count as at least a level 3) slightly more difficult, then from Green Level 10's to Yellow Ball play in 12's more difficult. Once a player ages up to 11 they will be eligible for Yellow Ball Play automatically. We hope the New Progression Pathway will help all players find their natural pathway.
