MATCH FORMAT
•
The draws have been done. Please post them by MONDAY. The schedule must be
posted on TUESDAY. •
Friday doubles must start no earlier than 4 pm with a round of singles to
follow.•
ALL main draw singles matches on Friday are played with a 10 point match
tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set. All matches are regular scoring.
•
All main draw singles matches on Saturday and Sunday are played with three full
sets with a new can of balls for the 3rd set. All consolation matches,
including the ¾ playoff, are played with a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of
the third set – regular scoring.
•
Doubles is an 8-game pro set, NO AD scoring, with a 7-point tiebreak at 8 games
all.
•
Singles in a Level 4 tournament is FIC-R16 – 2 rounds of consolation.
•
The quarterfinal main draw losers will be placed in a separate draw to
determine the 5th place winner (the 7th and 8th place match will not be
played).
•
Matches cannot be scheduled to start any later than 9:00 pm for the 12s &
14s and no later than 10:30 pm for the 16s & 18s.

SELECTION PROCESS - SR-L4
Order of Selection:
* Players with rankings of 100 or better on the most recent National Standings List in the age division of the tournament
* With a maximum of only three, consideration will be given to players with rankings of 50 or better on the most recently published National Standings list in the division one level beneath the division in question, and secondly, to players ranked in the top 10 on the most recently published Sectional Standings list in the age division one level beneath the division in question
* Players on the most recently published Sectional Standings list of the age division in order of ranking
* All other USTA Middle States Players, by lottery

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Wednesday, February 19, 2020 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
