TOURNAMENT CANCELLED FOR 2020
It is with deep regret that we will be cancelling the 44th
Annual Marin Championships this year.
Our tournament falls in the current suspension period imposed by the ITF
and it is unknown whether the suspension will be extended again.
Our passion for tennis and commitment to the tournament
makes us want to postpone to later in the year but we recognize this
logistically will be impossible for a number of reasons. First and foremost, we need to think about
the safety or our players, volunteers and spectators – it will take us time to
get back to our new normal once the suspension has lifted. We use 3 fantastic facilities which are all
currently closed so even trying to discuss future dates wouldn’t happen until
they open again. We recognize that when
facilities reopen, their focus will be to get up and running again as well as
meeting the needs of their members and constituents. We understand that players travelling to the
tournament may also encounter challenges around air travel and
accommodations. Finally, our tournament
has huge community support which like every other community has been impacted
hard and their attention will be focused on getting up and running again.
We are planning to pull out all of the stops for the 45th
Annual Marin Championships to be held in June 2021.
We want to thank our sponsors (Mill Valley Tennis Club, The
Club at Harbor Point, Scotts Valley Swim & Racquet Club, UBS, DTM Walsh
Advisors, Seagate Properties, Weisberg & Miller, Compass, EJ Interior
Design, Inc., Send It Foundation, BMW, Marine Layer, Geoff Cykman, Stifel, Fred
and Dinna Eisenhart, Nativly, Rothy’s, William Gordon Winery, Cushman, Morgan
Stanley, Summer Search, Vanguard, Malugani Tire, Peter Levi Plumbing, Devin
Sconyers, Jani Ross, David Hansen, Piazza D’Angelo, Lighthouse Bar & Grill)
as well as our volunteers who were working tirelessly to host this year’s
We are in unprecedented times. Please stay safe and healthy and we look
forward to seeing you in 2021.

TOURNAMENT EVALUATION FORM
Players, please complete the online evaluation form after you have completed the tournament. Your feedback helps USTA NorCal to continually monitor and improve the quality of the tournaments we sanction.
Concurrent Tournament Rule
A player shall not be entered at the time entries close in two or more USTA sanctioned tournaments scheduled to take place at the same time, in whole or in part, unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation, concurs in writing, and each agrees to accommodate the player’s schedule. The final decision rests with each tournament committee. If one tournament agrees to accept concurrent entries and accommodate the player's schedule but the concurrent tournament does not, the player may not enter both. If entries for the overlapping tournaments close on different dates, approval must be received from all Tournament Committees no later than the entry closing date that occurs last. Players who enter a tournament and play it to completion, may then enter another tournament with overlapping dates without permission. If a player violates this concurrent tournament rule ranking points earned in any concurrent tournament played will not count toward ranking or the Grand Prix Points Race and the concurrent tournaments will not count toward the minimum tournament requirement to qualify for Grand Prix.
All non-U.S Citizens need to register for a USTA account to enter in this event - here is the link for non-U.S Citizens players to register for a USTA account - https://www.usta.com/en/home/account/create-account.html
