John Drew Smith Tennis center will open at 12 noon on Sunday. Practice courts will be available at South Bibb starting at 6:45 am until play starts at 8 am.

This is an advanced-level tournament sanctioned by USTA
Georgia as a Level 3 (Southern Level 4 points). Registration must be completed online. In the

Player Gift to
all participants. Awards to winner, finalist, consolation winner, and
consolation finalist of each event having six or more players. Additional sites may be
used. Match times and tournament information can be accessed online by 2/13.
Boys and Girls registered for 12 and under division will play on a full court with yellow balls.
Boys and Girls 10 and under that are eligible for green balls in Youth
Progression will play on a full court with green dot balls. Boys and Girls 10 and under that are eligible for orange balls or new to Youth Progression will
play on a 60’ court with orange balls.
USTA Georgia tournaments do not offer Orange Level 2
divisions. All players that register for Orange 2 will be automatically moved
to Orange 1 before the draws are posted.
Youth Progression
(for children ages 7-10):
If this is your child’s first time playing a tournament,
please email Eva Marie McCravy (mccravy@ustageorgia.com) or Susan Pierce (pierce@ustageorgia.com)
to activate your child's USTA number in the Youth Progression program. For more

Player selection:
This tournament is open to junior players regardless of
ranking. You will receive an automated email if your player is selected and
your credit card is charged.
Late Entrants:
USTA Georgia will allow late entrants to be accepted into
all USTA GA tournaments in the event that the draw is not full, provided that
such late entrants do not affect the seeding and further provided that late
entrants do not prevent timely entrants from being accepted into the draw under any
circumstances. Accepting late entrants is at the discretion of the Tournament
Committee. Seeds must be posted by 12 noon four (4) days prior to the start of the tournament. Once draws are posted, the tournament is closed and can no longer accept late
entries.
Draws:
Draws will be published by Thursday at 5 pm. It is your
responsibility to check this tournament webpage for the players’ draws, match
times, and any other updates.
Format:
FIC with a 3/4
playoff in the main draw. BG12-18 Main and Consolation Draw: 2 out of 3
sets with a 3rd set tiebreaker played in lieu of a full third set. BG10: short scoring with 3rd set match tie-break. Doubles will be a 6-game set (No Ad Scoring), with a 7-point tiebreak played at 6 games all. A round robin format will be played if there are only
3-5 players. Scoring may
be changed due to inclement weather.

WITHDRAWING FROM TOURNAMENT
Withdrawal After Entry Deadline: Immediately contact the Tournament Referee to withdraw from the tournament. You must email your withdrawal to daltondeuce@aol.com. In the email subject line include WITHDRAWAL, your name, and division. DO NOT call to withdraw. There are no refunds after entries close. If there are weather
issues and no matches are played, then you will get a 3/4 credit to
another tournament (see list below) or a 1/2 refund. If there are weather issues
and you only play one match, then you will get a 1/2 credit to
another (see list below) or a 1/4 refund. (TennisLink does not refund the processing fees). Tournaments include Super Champs in the Macon (Sept. 14-15) and GA State Jr. Winter Chmps. (Dec 27-29). Withdrawing During the Tournament: You must get approval from the Head Referee in person. If not, it will count as a "No Show." WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY WITHDRAWALS OVER THE PHONE! Please send an email as soon as possible if you are withdrawing from your next match so we can try to contact your opponent promptly.

Southern Orange Ball 10 & Under Changes
Please note that starting January 2020 USTA Southern’s Youth Progression has changed from offering 2 levels of Orange ball to only one level of Orange ball - Orange Level 1. Players will now start at Orange Level 1 and progress to Green Level 1 then to Mission Complete/Yellow Ball. Youth Progression point distribution has also changed. See here for more info:
