The Temple Terrace Tennis Center is part of the City of Temple
Terrace Family Recreation Complex located at 6610 Whiteway Drive in
Temple Terrace 33617. Manny Mariani, USPTA, is the tournament
director and can be reached at 813-989-7178. Our location is 2
miles from I-75 off the Fowler Exit #265. Both USF and Bush Gardens
are just a five minute drive from our complex. The tennis center
has 6 lighted Hydro-Grid Clay Courts and 6 lighted Hard Courts just
1 mile west at 10901 Richlyne Drive. If your matches are being
played at the Hard Court facility you may go directly there and do
not have to check in at the main center. The recreation complex has
a large pool, fun pool, fun slide, racquetball courts, basketball
gyms and a fitness center that players can use while at the
tournament. There is free coffee in the morning and Manny offers
stringing during the tournament for all players and is done with an
electronic computerized state of the art stringer.
Draws will be made early morning on Thursday after the deadline and
will be posted to the web by 6pm. Matches are 2 out of 3 sets with
a 10-point tiebreaker for the 3rd set. Consolations draws are for
players losing their first match and trophies are given to winners,
runner-up, and consolation winner. All players must wear flat sole
tennis shoes. No cross trainers or running shoes will be allowed on
our courts.
If you have an 8am match and would like to warm up you may use our
6 racquetball (wall) courts or you may use our 6 Hard Court
Facility 1 mile west of the Tennis Center. Our Hydro-Grid Clay
Courts WILL NOT be available to warm up on. The clay courts
will be raked in the morning and will be ready for our 8am matches
but not before. There are no refunds after the deadline and we ask
for players to check in 15 minutes before their scheduled
time.
