Tuesday - 6/23/20 - Rescheduled Matches BG16 & BG18
Due to weather on Monday afternoon, some BG16s and BG18s matches did not finish play and have been rescheduled, which may affect some players who were able to finish their afternoon match. All BG16s and BG18s should check the draws for possible rescheduled match time.

If you have an 8:00 am match you should practice on the court you are assigned (7:00 am - 7:30 am), leave your bags by the gate and please groom the court when you leave. PRACTICE COURTS
Practice Courts Friday Availability- Call Cooper Creek Tennis Center 706-225-4186. Court cost is $2.50. Limit your time if others are waiting. Facility closes at 8:00pm. Leave bags off the court, outside the gate. Do not sit on benches During Tournament- Hard Courts 1-4 from 7am - 7pm. Clay Courts 1-4 will be available 12:30pm - 7:00pm. Protocol: No bags allowed on court, No sitting on benches. Groom all clay courts when you come off. Practice courts will only be available early in the morning - 7:00 am - 7:30 am as they will be sanitized for matches beginning at 7:30 am. We will post a list of 8:00 am court assignments and you should hit on your assigned court and then groom the court before your match.

PLAYER INFORMATION (PLEASE READ AND PASS ALONG TO FELLOW TOURNAMENT PLAYERS)
Draws are now posted on the website. Please read the following information regarding Player Check-In, and Day of Match Procedures 1. Complete the Player Check-In by 9:00 PM Thursday evening...if you do not check-in you will not be able to play in the tournament DAY OF MATCH PROCEDURES 1. Use MatchTenisApp "PLAYER CHECK-IN" 15 - 30 minutes before your match. Do not check-in any earlier than this time. If you check-in late you, will be penalized per USTA FAC. 2. When your match is called...go directly to your court (THERE IS NO TOURNAMENT DESK) 3. Players will be using two (2) cans of balls each match and they will be on the court. The balls are yours to keep after the match (can be used as extra balls for subsequent matches). We will not provide used balls. 4. Players will be given a gift bag, which will be on the court.(whiteboard & marker enclosed) 5. Players will use the whiteboard to write down their scores during each match to show umpires & keep up with score. 6. Ice and bananas will be provided - Volunteers will assist at a safe distance. 7. After the match and before you leave the court, report your scores via the TennisMatchApp link sent to your cellphone. Please gather your trash and take with you when you leave the court and the facility. We will be sanitizing and prepping courts for the next matches. 8. Practice courts will only be available early in the morning - 7:00 am - 7:30 am as they will be sanitized for matches beginning at 7:30 am. We will post a list of 8:00 am court assignments and you should hit on your assigned court and then groom the court before your match. 9. Spectators of players should bring your own chairs to watch matches...bleachers will be blocked off. Other - TAKE YOUR TEMPERATURE BEFORE COMING TO THE TOURNAMENT - DO NOT COME IF YOU ARE SICK. BE SAFE & BE WELL

DRAWS & PLAYER CHECK-IN
Draws will be posted by 5:00 pm on Thursday. Please complete the Player Check-in process(waivers) via MatchTennisApp by 9:00 pm Thursday . We will NOT accept waivers at the tournament so it
is important that you complete this task asap. Also, we will be using the
Virtual Tournament Desk for this tournament where you will check-in for your
match via MatchTennisApp (Player Check-In), receive a court assignment by text and also report
your scores (see link below with instructions on tournament website).

COVID-19
We look forward to you participating in the tournament. We will be using USTA guidelines and taking extra precautions to offer a safe environment.
Our local government officials are maintaining contact with medical advisors regarding COVID-19 test results and hospitalizations in our area. The Columbus mayor has the right to cancel this tournament should there be a spike and the numbers dictate.

Welcome!
This is an advanced-level tournament sanctioned by USTA Georgia as a Level 2 (Southern Level 4 points). Registration must be completed
online.T-shirts to all participants.
Boys and Girls registered for 12 and under division will play on a full court with yellow balls.
Boys and Girls 10 and under
that are eligible
for green balls in Youth Progression will play on a full court with
green dot balls.
Boys and Girls 10 and under that are eligible for orange balls or
new to Youth
Progression will play on a 60’ court
with orange balls.
USTA Georgia tournaments do not offer Orange Level 2
divisions. All players that register for Orange 2 will be automatically moved
to Orange 1 before the draws are posted.
Player selection
This tournament is open for junior players regardless of
ranking. You will receive an automated email if your player is selected and
your credit card is charged.
Late Entry - Full policy stated below.
Draws
Draws will be published by Thursday at 5 pm. It is your
responsibility to check this tournament web page for the player draws, match
times and any other updates.
Format FIC through Quarterfinals. 3rd and 4th place playoffs. Match times and tournament information can be accessed online at
least 48 hours before the first scheduled match. Awards to winner, finalist and
consolation winner and finalist.
All boys/girls
12-18's matches will be two sets with a match tie-break (10 point tie-break) in
lieu of a third set. All 10's matches will be two short sets (sets to 4 games).
If sets reach 3-3 you must win by two games, example: 5-3. If sets reach 4-4 a
set tie-break will be played. (7 point tie-break). If the players split sets
then a 7 point match tie-break will be played in lieu of a third set. This is in accordance
with USTA Georgia regulations. Selections will be made primarily by using Sectional Standings. Seeding will also be done according to sectional Standings.

deadline, withdraw through TennisLink. After the deadline, email the tournament
director.
No refunds for
withdrawals after the tournament deadline.

Scoring Format
12U - 18U Scoring
Format:
Singles: 2 regular sets with a ten (10) point "match"
tie-break played in lieu of a third set. CANCELLED - Doubles: 6 games set with ad scoring. Tie-break at 6-all
10U Scoring Format:
Singles: 2 short sets (no ad) with a tie-break played at
4-all and a 7 point tie-break played in lieu of a third set. CANCELLED - Doubles: 6 game pro set using no ad scoring. Tie-break at 6-all. Note: these matches will be played on hard courts.

Withdrawal Policy (READ CAREFULLY)
WITHDRAWALS AFTER SELECTION
& DURING TOURNAMENT
A player shall not enter a tournament and then withdraw when the player
discovers that tough opponents have also entered. A player may withdraw from a
match or tournament only because of injury, illness, or personal circumstance;
written verification must be provided. A player who cannot play a match
shall notify the Referee in writing (NO PHONE CALLS
WILL BE ACCEPTED) immediately so that the opponent may be notified at
once and saved a trip. A player who withdraws from a tournament is not entitled
to the return of the entry fee unless the player withdrew prior to the
published refund deadline date.

Refund Policy
No refunds for any
reason will be issued after the close of entries, players should expect to
forfeit the entry fee, regardless of circumstances.
