and look and stay straight ahead, courts are slightly on the right.
Central Park Tennis Courts are not far from the entrance.
THIS TOURNAMENT IS OPEN TO USTA MEMBERS.
*******YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE IN THE NYC AREA
TO PLAY IN THIS TOURNAMENT.
The 16 top points leaders will qualify for the season ending
Invitational event at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Park Courts in
September. You must play a minimum of two events and have enough
points to qualify for the Invitational event in September.

***** Please note: YOU MUST wear flat soled tennis shoes TO PLAY
on these clay courts.
***We will not be running a doubles Tournament.
* Matches will take place between 9:45 and
4:00pm.

RAIN from the night before can affect the next days play.
Please be advised that in case of rain please check this site for
Updates of cancellation of matches. Central Park decides if the
courts are playable or not, I do not make that decision.. Clay
courts are sensitive to the rain. As soon as I know if there are
cancellations I will POST on this PAGE whether matches will be
postponed for that day. I will try to reach players that are
immediately affected by the rain by phone.
***ALL PLAYERS must check this site before you leave for your
matches regardless of weather.

Boys and Girls 12 and under will use short set format.
Match tiebreaker instead of third set.
Boys and Girls 14 and 16 and under will play regular 6 game sets
with match tiebreaker instead of third set.
All matches are no-add scoring.

The rules apply to parents & spectators as well; the player is responsible for their entourage. Poor behavior by the spectators may result in point penalties for the players. Poor personal behavior, bad sportsmanship or any acts detrimental to the game could prevent section endorsement.
