GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP
Dear spectators, the USTA So Cal Satellite Masters is a very special event that we have taken great pride in running. Our expectations have always been and will continue to be the highest class and sportsmanship from all spectators and players. The USTA So Cal policy is to create fun and inclusive environment where we are all encouraging great tennis and sportsmanship.
Good sportsmanship is EXPECTED from all players and spectators (i.e. parents, coaches, other family members, etc.). Communication between parents and players (whether their own child or another’s) should be ONLY to congratulate them on a good match played and it is never appropriate for anyone to argue with an official. Anyone who violates these terms will be asked to leave the tournament site. Players, remember that 1% on the line is 100% in! We appreciate your cooperation and hope to have a great event. Thank you.
|
8's & 10's
The 8's and 10's will be a combined event this year and will be played with the "green" ball on a regular sized 78' court.
|
LATENESS PENALTY
The USTA Lateness Penalty will be enforced. Please allow adequate driving time to your matches.
|
2020 POINTS-PER-ROUND
For Southern California ranking purposes, this tournament is a SCTA Level 4 event.
|
TO QUALIFY & AGE DIVISION
Players who have won a Level 6 (satellite) tournament in the calendar year of 2019 will be invited to participate (as long as they did not break any eligibility rules to win the satellite). To be eligible, you must have won three matches (without defaults) to win the satellite tournament (2 matches for the BG18s). You must have also played at least 8 game pro-sets. Any other shortened formats will require at least 6 match wins.
Players are required to play in the HIGHEST division they won their satellite even if they are no longer age eligible of that division. If you are unsure of your division, please email Takamori@scta.usta.com.
|
OVERLAPPING EVENTS
Players are not permitted to enter in this event and another overlapping event even if it's just ONE day overlap. Failure to comply will result in loss of ranking points from all tournaments involved and the player will be assessed double entry suspension points (5). If you show up in two draws, you will be assessed penalties.
Players may enter both the Henry Talbert Level 1 and Satellite Masters BUT if the player gets into the Talbert, they MUST withdraw from Satellite Masters IMMEDIATELY (no later than Saturday, January 11th). If they are choosing to remain in Satellite Masters, they must remove their name from the Talbert alternate list.
