Match Formats and Times
ALL Players should check-in at the Tournament Desk located at the Tiki Hut between courts 1 and 4 by 8:45 AM Saturday. Because of the attached camp and the continuous play, round robin format, match times for Saturday are not listed on the draws. Semifinal matches will begin at 9AM on Sunday.
Best 2-of-3 short sets (1st to 4 games), no ad scoring, with a 7-point tiebreak at 4-4 if needed. 3rd Set will be a 10-point tiebreak if needed. Players will be allowed up to a 45 minute break between each round.
Players have been separated into 4 round robin brackets and will play 3 matches on Saturday. All round robin matches will play on Saturday and begin shortly after the EDC Camp. The winner of each round robin bracket will advance to the semifinals and finals that will play on Sunday.
The girls that come in 2nd or 3rd in the two 3 player brackets will play the other girls that came in 2nd or 3rd in the other 3 player bracket to give them each their 3rd match on Saturday.
Semi-finals will be the winner of Bracket A vs B, C vs D in each division. The winner of each semifinal will advance to the Finals, the losers will play in the 3rd/4th place match.
Outline of Day-1 Green Ball Sectional Qualifier
9:00 am Players arrive for a 1.5-hour Green Ball Early Development Camp run by trained EDC Coach Kevin Brandt. Curriculum focused on skill and athletic development.
10:30 am Players end the EDC camp and coaches finalize the evaluations.
Tournament will begin after rest time.
This is a qualifying tournament for the 2019 "Bobby Curtis' Green Ball Sectional Championships. Players qualify by being the winner or finalist in one of the 16 designated Level 6 Regional Qualifiers held between January and September 2019.

Warm Up Courts
Star Island's courts will be available first-come-first-serve to warm-up until 8:45AM on Saturday and 9AM on Sunday.

Water, Gatorade, Meals, etc
Food, drinks, and snacks are available onsite at the Star Island Deli and Marketplace. Let them know you are here with the tournament and you'll receive a 15% discount!
Spectator Seating and Pets
There are a limited number of chairs available for spectators, please bring a portable or collapsible chair if you need to guarantee having one. Star Island does not allow pets onsite unless they are registered Service Animals in their vests with proper paperwork.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Wednesday, April 3, 2019 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
