With the weather we have had, and possibly coming this weekend, there will be much sand and salt that will get tracked into the tennis center. NON PLAYERS SHOULD NOT GO ONTO THE COURTS. Players, please wear shoes other than your playing shoes while coming in and change upstairs. If you wear your playing shoes while coming in, please go upstairs to carpet first. Just one or two players who track sand onto the court and that court will be slick and tough to play on all weekend. Let's work together on this. THANKS!

We expect to begin at 8 AM each day but this is subject to change.
All matches are played at Mary Washington indoor.

ALL COURTS ALL DAYS:
Courts open 1:15 before first match scheduled.

Weather permitting, we will open up outdoor courts for warmup throughout the day.
Local YMCA has indoor courts you may be able to book to warm up on.
Plan to warm up 4 per court.

CHECK DRAWS FOR TIME OR SITE CHANGES EVERY DAY !!!!
ALWAYS CHECK DRAW BEFORE YOU COME EACH DAY. THERE CAN BE CHANGES DAILY WITH WITHDRAWS AND WO'S AND WE CANNOT ALWAYS REACH EVERYONE BC MANY WRONG EMAILS AND PHONE NUMBERS IN THE SYSTEM!!!

PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN ANY GRASS AREAS BY THE TENNIS COURTS OR ANYWHERE THAT IS NOT A PARKING SPOT OR YOU WILL GET A TICKET AND COULD BE TOWED. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE UMW STAFF SPOTS BY INDOORS.....THAT WILL BE FOR TOURNAMENT PERSONNEL.

MAS REGULATIONS AND RANKING POINTS

MAS Regulations and Ranking Points This tournament operates in accordance with the rules and guidelines listed in USTA Mid-Atlantic Regulations and USTA Friend at Court. By registering for this event, players and parents are agreeing to be familiar with and abide by all aspects of the MAS Regulations to include meeting sportsmanship expectations, all aspects of fair play, and respecting the game of tennis.

MAS L4, L4+, & L3 EVENT REFUNDS
Once player selections have been made and the payment has been processed, there will be no refunds if a player is unable to compete for any reason. Member organizations are not required to refund players for tournaments affected by inclement weather. Per MAS regulations, in the event of inclement weather a tournament may utilize a shortened format in order to play the tournament to completion. If the tournament cannot be played, it is the MAS recommendation that players be offered a credit to a future tournament hosted by the same organization, however, this is only a recommendation and not a policy. Each member organization shall post their refund policy on the tournament homepage.

BG 14-18 Shall be draws of 32 in all months except June
CONSOLATION WILL PLAY ON MONDAY
JUNE SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP SHALL be draw of 64, offering singles and doubles

PLAY TO COMPLETION
As per MAS Regulations if a player does not intend to play a match, the player must notify the tournament director within one (1) hour of the end of the previous match of his/her intention not to play. Failure to do so will result in a Default/no show code for the match; five (5) penalty points on a player’s record; loss of points for the tournament; and the event will not count toward the player’s Endorsement List eligibility.
TWO (2) PENALTY POINTS will be assessed to players who do not play any/all scheduled matches.

CHAMPIONSHIP SUPER SIX SERIES EVENTS BG12-18
Players may enter two age divisions on the same weekend. Selection will be made to the older age division first. Selection and Seeding is based on the most recent MAS Standing List for the age division.
MAS L4, L4+, L3 NO LATE ENTRIES

STARTING Jan 1, 2019- Players must have a standing of at least 150 on the current MAS Standing List to compete in an L4,L4+ or L3!
