NEW ELIGIBILITY RULES 2018 LEVEL 5 EVENTS

Starting January 1st, 2016 for ages 12-18's players who are ranked in the top 50 will not be allowed to participate in Open level 5 events. These events are meant for players moving up from Level 6 but not quite ready for higher level events. (Players can play up in the next higher division if ranked in the top 50 of their age group) This does not apply to 10 & under divisions.

REFUNDS

REFUND DEADLINE IS MIDNIGHT OF THE CLOSE OF THE ENTRY. BEFORE ENTRIES CLOSE, YOU MUST WITHDRAW ONLINE (IF ENTERED ONLINE). ANY CHANGING OF DIVISIONS MUST BE DONE ONLINE. ALL WITHDRAWALS AFTER THE DEADLINE MUST BE DONE BY EMAIL TO THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR AND NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED.

MATCH FORMAT

ALL MATCHES WILL BE A "BEST OF TWO SETS" A 10 POINT TIE BREAKER WILL BE PLAYED IN LIEU OF A THIRD SET. MATCHES WILL BE SEEDED WITH UTR.

THIS TOURNAMENT WILL USE PRO PENN MARATHON BALLS AND PENN CONTROL+ BALLS.

Notes

10 & Under Divisions
All 10 & Under matches will be played with the "Green" Ball (or Green Dot Ball) on a standard sized 78' court. There is no racquet restriction with this ball.

2019 SCTA POINTS PER ROUND RANKING
For Southern California open ranking purposes, this tournament is a SCTA Level 5 event. For 2019 tournaments, Level 5 points will be awarded based on draw size for each individual event.

SCTA POINT PENALTY SUSPENSION SYSTEM

Dress Code
The Serve It Up Tennis Tournament and all officials of this event would like to inform the players of our expectations of proper attire while competing in this tournament.
GIRLS: No sports bras or compression shorts are to be worn alone; midriff must be covered when arms are at rest, and spandex shorts must be covered by additional shorts or skirt.
BOYS: No cut off t-shirts, or cut off shorts. Sleeveless tennis shirts may be worn. No reference to drugs, violence, alcohol, or foul language may be depicted on player attire.

Player Selection Type

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.

Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Tuesday, October 15, 2019 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
