USTA/MAS G18 L3 SUPER SIX 700 CHAMPIONSHIP

We have been in contact with officials from USTA/MAS. Due to the impending rain and freeze for Monday morning, and in the interest of safety, we are completing the event on Sunday rather than Monday. All consolation rounds scheduled for Monday will be cancelled. The finals and the 3 / 4 playoff will be played Sunday afternoon.

The town of Williamsburg is expected to get some snow along with rain this coming weekend. The concern is that the roads will freeze on Sunday night / Monday morning. The Emergency Management Team from the College of William & Mary will make a determination regarding operating hours for the weekend leading into Monday. The tennis center will follow the school schedule regarding a weather incident. As information is known, it will be sent out to all participants as quickly as possible. In case of a school closure for Monday, the Finals and 3 / 4 Playoff may be played on Sunday. This will occur only if it has been determined the school will be closed on Monday. If the event must be shortened, some of the Consolation bracket may be cancelled.

MAS REGULATIONS AND RANKING POINTS

MAS Regulations and Ranking Points This tournament operates in accordance with the rules and guidelines listed in USTA Mid-Atlantic Regulations and USTA Friend at Court. By registering for this event, players and parents are agreeing to be familiar with and abide by all aspects of the MAS Regulations to include meeting sportsmanship expectations, all aspects of fair play, and respecting the game of tennis.

MAS L4, L4+, & L3 EVENT REFUNDS
Once player selections have been made and the payment has been processed, there will be no refunds if a player is unable to compete for any reason. Member organizations are not required to refund players for tournaments affected by inclement weather. Per MAS regulations, in the event of inclement weather a tournament may utilize a shortened format in order to play the tournament to completion. If the tournament cannot be played, it is the MAS recommendation that players be offered a credit to a future tournament hosted by the same organization, however, this is only a recommendation and not a policy. Each member organization shall post their refund policy on the tournament homepage.

BG 14-18 Shall be draws of 32 in all months except June
CONSOLATION WILL PLAY ON MONDAY
JUNE SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP SHALL be draw of 64, offering singles and doubles

PLAY TO COMPLETION
As per MAS Regulations if a player does not intend to play a match, the player must notify the tournament director within one (1) hour of the end of the previous match of his/her intention not to play. Failure to do so will result in a Default/no show code for the match; five (5) penalty points on a player’s record; loss of points for the tournament; and the event will not count toward the player’s Endorsement List eligibility.
TWO (2) PENALTY POINTS will be assessed to players who do not play any/all scheduled matches.

CHAMPIONSHIP SUPER SIX SERIES EVENTS BG12-18
Players may enter two age divisions on the same weekend. Selection will be made to the older age division first. Selection and Seeding is based on the most recent MAS Standing List for the age division.
MAS L4, L4+, L3 NO LATE ENTRIES

STARTING Jan 1, 2019- Players must have a standing of at least 150 on the current MAS Standing List to compete in an L4,L4+ or L3!
