**UPDATED** MATCH FORMATS
Due to the excessive heat in the forecast, ALL matches (INCLUDING the finals) will play a
“Deciding Match Tie-Break” (first to 10) in lieu of a third set. There will be a 3 minute mandatory rest
period between the second set and the Match Tie-Break. Match formats and times
may be altered at the discretion of the Referee for a cogent reason.
The Boys and Girls 10 singles will be played with the
"green" ball on a regular sized 78' court. All matches (including the
finals) will play a “Deciding Match Tie-Break” (first to 10) in lieu of a third
set.

ALTERNATES
If you are an alternate and enter in another event the same weekend as this event, you will need to email Ai (Takamori@scta.usta.com) to remove yourself from the alternate list. Players may NOT withdraw from another event to play in this one (once entries close for the other event) or play in both events at once. Failure to comply will result in 5 suspension points plus loss of ranking points from both tournaments (if applicable).
Once draws are posted...If you would have been seeded in the draw, you can only get in if a seeded player drops out so it does not invalidate the seeds. Please see page 81 & 83 of USTA Friend at Court for more info (click on more info).

ELIGIBILITY
The top 8 point earners that apply will receive entry into
the Masters. All other players that are not in the top 8 will be placed on an
alternate list. If you qualify for more than one division, you must choose one
or the other. You may not play
both. If there is a tie in points, the
edge will be given to the player that has participated in more Desert Cities
Grand Prix tournaments. If there is still a tie, the tie will be broken by section ranking at the time of selection.
AGE ELIGIBILITY: Even if you are now not eligible by age for the division in which you qualified for, you are allowed to play in the division you qualified for! For example, if you turned 13 in August and you qualified for the 12s, you may play the 12 & under in the Masters.
