WELCOME TO THE OPRC JR HOLIDAY OPEN
Thank you for your participation and support. Due to the
historically large turnout for his tournament, we would like to
communicate some important information in advance:

Only (1) singles division will be allowed per player.
Be prepared to play as early as 8:00am each day and check in for
every match at least 15 minutes in advance. Penalties will be
assessed for lateness per USTA regulations.
ENTRY DEADLINE
Please be aware that the entry deadline is December 16th.
FORMAT
All divisions will play two sets (no-ad scoring) with a match
tie-breaker in lieu of the third set.
Back-draw matches will be 8-game pro sets with no-ad
scoring.
DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO REGISTER
Online registration is required and needs to be COMPLETED before
the entry deadline. In the case of a technical problem, please
contact the tournament director.
Point Level
This event is worth Missouri Valley Level 5 points. It is an
intermediate tournament for players interested in a climate of
increased competition with the potential to earn points towards a
ranking.
Draw Size
There is no draw limit for this event. All players who register
will be selected for the tournament.
Seeding
Seeding for this tournament will be based off the most recent
Missouri Valley Standings list.
Start Time
The start time of the tournament will depend on the draw sizes of
each division.
Match Format
Singles: Best of 3 sets with 10 point tiebreak in lieu of the third
for Main Draw matches. Consolation will be 8 game pro sets.
Withdraws and Refunds
Before the Entry Deadline: A withdrawal before entries close needs
to be done through the online registration process. Click on the
"Withdraw" link in the Edit Registration box to the left to
complete this step. Your credit card will not be charged. Click on
the "Locate Confirmation Number" link if you have misplaced the
confirmation number.
After the Entry Deadline:
Withdraws after entries close need to be emailed to the tournament
director at the address above. Refunds are not given for withdraws
that happen in the 6 days before the start of the event.
Messages
PLAYING TO COMPLETION Regulation 27: Playing to Completion. To play to completion means to play all the player's matches in a tournament including main draw, mandatory FIC, mandatory consolation and mandatory place play-offs. A player will not be awarded any points for the tournament and will be charged with 5 suspension points if the player does not play to completion for any reason other than: -Retirement from a match because of injury, illness or personal circumstance -Inability to play because of injury, illness or personal circumstance when the player's problem become apparent before the match or during the warm-up.
Failure to complete a match because of a conflict or not to miss school is not considered a valid personal circumstance. Instead, players should not register for a tournament unless able to play entire event.
"No Shows" will also be charged with 5 Suspension Points.
